AK-47 | Fuel Injector (Minimal Wear)

Minimal Wear (MW) leaves the orange gloss of the AK-47 | Fuel Injector almost entirely intact, and the white print on the gas tube is still legible. It is a Covert skin from the Wildfire Collection, and it drops from the Operation Wildfire Case.

What the AK-47 | Fuel Injector looks like in Minimal Wear

The design borrows from a racing car. The receiver sides, handguard and grip carry an orange-amber gloss, and the front of the magazine is painted the same color. Everything else is dark: a near-black stock, a magazine with tread-pattern ribbing and a dark receiver cover. The gas tube is light gray with a bluish cast and covered in small white lettering.

In Minimal Wear the gloss is hardly touched anywhere, and the wear is limited to a thin pale rim along the raised edges of the panels. The white print on the tube can still be made out but is already losing its sharpness. Wear on the AK-47 | Fuel Injector in this wear runs between 0.07 and 0.15. There is little to choose by float, since the 0.07 to 0.15 band is short.

Where the AK-47 | Fuel Injector came from

The finish comes from the Steam Workshop, where its author emu filed it as "AK47 | Supercharged" on November 15, 2015. The AK-47 | Fuel Injector was released on February 17, 2016. Valve marked the launch of the operation with a post about lighting and shaders: new visual tools for map makers arrived together with the updated Nuke map. The skin's number in Valve's catalog is 524.

What to check before buying

The differences between copies of the AK-47 | Fuel Injector come down to this:

• float: nearer 0.07 the edges are almost whole, and nearer 0.15 the pale rim is noticeable;


• how legible the white lettering on the gas tube is;


• whether this AK-47 | Fuel Injector carries stickers and a name tag.

You cannot buy an AK-47 | Fuel Injector with a "rare" pattern, because every copy has the same artwork.

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Fuel Injector

The pale rim along the edges gets in the way of a craft less than solid scuffing does, because the main planes are clean. Car-themed stickers sit well on the orange gloss, and black and white ones show up best on it. The dark stock suits a bright accent, though it will look separate from the rest of the finish.

Who this wear suits

Minimal Wear is a sensible choice for the AK-47 | Fuel Injector when:

• you want a nearly intact gloss in CS2 without the Factory New price;


• a legible print on the gas tube matters;


• the rifle should be bright, and small scuffs on the edges are no problem.
