The AK-47 | Fuel Injector in Well-Worn (WW) is an orange AK-47 whose panel edges have started to pale and whose fine print on the gas tube is almost gone. It is a Covert skin, and it comes in the Operation Wildfire Case.
What the AK-47 | Fuel Injector looks like in Well-Worn
There are two color zones. An orange-amber gloss covers the receiver, handguard, grip and the front of the magazine. Everything else is dark: a nearly black stock, a black magazine with tire-style ribbing, a dark receiver cover. The gas tube is gray-blue with white lettering. A large red-and-white inscription sits over the orange on the receiver.
In Well-Worn the wear no longer hides. The panel edges turn pale and the lettering on the tube is wiped away, but the central planes of the sides still look whole. This wear of the AK-47 | Fuel Injector lies between 0.38 and 0.45. Between 0.38 and 0.45 the AK-47 | Fuel Injector does not change in appearance.
Where the AK-47 | Fuel Injector came from
The artwork was submitted to the Steam Workshop by its author, emu, on November 15, 2015, with the title "AK47 | Supercharged". The Wildfire Collection, with this skin in it, came out on February 17, 2016, and the AK-47 | Fuel Injector arrived with the same update. Valve's catalog lists the skin as number 524.
What to check before buying
When picking an AK-47 | Fuel Injector, pay attention to the following:
- float: the band is short, and the number shows which edge the copy sits at;
- the orange panels: toward the upper limit of the band the edges are paler;
- stickers and name tag: on the AK-47 | Fuel Injector they pass along with the listing.
The AK-47 | Fuel Injector is the same artwork on every copy, and there are no rare examples.
What the AK-47 | Fuel Injector costs in Well-Worn
Set against Well-Worn, the other wears work out like this:
- Factory New is more than three times dearer;
- Minimal Wear costs 1.75 times as much;
- Field-Tested costs about a third more;
- Battle-Scarred costs about a seventh less.
The Well-Worn band takes up seven percent of the scale. Next to Battle-Scarred the gap is small, and up to Field-Tested the price climbs more noticeably.
Among twenty-four Covert AK-47 skins in this wear, the skin is in the middle: sixteen are cheaper and seven are dearer. The AK-47 | Bloodsport and the AK-47 | Neon Revolution sit a little higher. The AK-47 | The Empress, the AK-47 | AUTOEXEC and the AK-47 | Consequence of the Jinn sit a little lower. The AK-47 | Aphrodite and the AK-47 | Head Shot sit well below. The AK-47 | Fire Serpent, the AK-47 | Gold Arabesque and the AK-47 | Wild Lotus are far ahead.
Getting the AK-47 | Fuel Injector
The skin drops from the Operation Wildfire Case. A trade-up for the AK-47 | Fuel Injector takes ten skins one rank down from the same set, and it is the route that skips buying a listing.
StatTrak and Souvenir
A StatTrak version of the AK-47 | Fuel Injector exists. No Souvenir packages were issued for this finish, yet a Souvenir copy can be put together in the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Fuel Injector
On scuffed edges stickers read worse than on flat sides. The best background is the large clean planes of the receiver and handguard, where white and black stickers show. Red ones merge with the logo, while the dark stock takes any color.
Who this wear suits
Well-Worn is a justified buy for the AK-47 | Fuel Injector when:
- you want a recognizable orange AK-47 for CS2 at a price below Field-Tested;
- the gloss on the sides matters more than the fine print on the tube;
- you choose the rifle in CS2 for its brightness, not for perfect edges.
If wear is not a concern, Battle-Scarred costs about a seventh less.
