Two materials, split down the middle. Every metal part, from receiver to magazine, is polished gold. The wood of the handguard and stock is cream with a pink cast, under a dense dark arabesque. The grip is pale lilac. The border between gold and pattern follows the seam between materials exactly.

On the wood the lace closes into loops; the same motif is etched into the gold, clearest on the magazine and easy to miss. Gold is the first thing a worn copy spends: raised edges turn matte and brassy, and the lace pales at the stock corners. Factory New is where the contrast stays complete — bright metal, cream wood, dark lace on top.

Where the AK-47 | Gold Arabesque came from

There is no Workshop submission for the AK-47 | Gold Arabesque: Valve authored the finish. The 2021 Dust 2 collection came out on September 21, 2021 with the AK-47 | Gold Arabesque in it. Valve's text describes an intricate design hand painted on the stock and handguard, and metal painted gold with filigree accents — for once a description the render bears out. The catalog number is 921.
