AK-47 | Head Shot (Battle-Scarred)

The AK-47 | Head Shot in Battle-Scarred (BS) is a Covert rifle from the Revolution Collection, made for the Terrorist side in CS2. The skin drops from the Revolution Case. This is the widest wear of the skin: its float takes up 55% of a scale that runs from 0.00 to 1.00.

What the AK-47 | Head Shot looks like in Battle-Scarred

According to Valve, the rifle is painted with "HEAD SHOT GUN" graffiti and covered with a pearlescent layer. The author names the genre as graffiti and says he used wild style.

This wear limits the AK-47 | Head Shot to floats of 0.45 to 1.00. Wear is set at drop, and a copy does not change afterward. It is the bottom wear of the scale, with more scuffing here than at any other wear of the skin.

Where the AK-47 | Head Shot came from

The finish was drawn by SerQ. He posted the Steam Workshop submission on April 23, 2020 under the title "AK-47 : Head Shot Gun [holo]". The author wrote that the series took several months to make and was redone from scratch.

The Revolution Collection came out on February 9, 2023, and the AK-47 | Head Shot has been part of the set since its release. In Valve's catalog the design is number 1221. Valve's note on the case named seventeen community finishes and listed the gloves from the Clutch Case as the rare items.

What to check before buying

When choosing the AK-47 | Head Shot, pay attention to the following:

• the float: in this wear the AK-47 | Head Shot fits both 0.45 and 1.00, and such listings look different;

• the stickers and name tag already on this copy of the AK-47 | Head Shot.

All copies of the AK-47 | Head Shot carry an identical pattern, so there is no pattern variance to speak of.

What the AK-47 | Head Shot costs in Battle-Scarred

This is the cheapest wear of the skin, and the rest cost more:

• Factory New by about 3.2 times;

• Minimal Wear by about 1.8 times;

• Field-Tested by about a seventh;

• Well-Worn by about a ninth.

Of the twenty-three Covert AK-47s that come in this wear, the skin is second from the bottom, and only AK-47 | Aphrodite costs less. Right after it, within a tenth of the price, come AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge and AK-47 | Inheritance. AK-47 | Wild Lotus closes out the top of the row.

Getting the AK-47 | Head Shot

The finish has a single case: the Revolution Case.

The AK-47 | Head Shot can be built by a trade-up of ten skins from the step below within one set. There are two Covert finishes in the collection, so the odds are one in two. The Covert rank itself then goes on into a glove craft.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The AK-47 | Head Shot comes in a StatTrak version. No souvenir packages were released for this finish, since those were made only for the tournament map collections. Even so, a souvenir copy can be built by hand: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from your inventory. That is why the occasional souvenir copy turns up even where no packages ever existed.

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Head Shot

Stickers are applied over the graffiti and do not change the artwork itself. The artwork is the same on every copy, so copies are told apart by float and by what has been applied to them.

Who this wear suits

Buying the AK-47 | Head Shot in Battle-Scarred makes sense in three cases:

• you want a Covert AK-47 for CS2 at the lowest price among the skin's wears;

• wear does not matter to you, and Factory New costs about 3.2 times as much;

• a float from the long 0.45 to 1.00 band suits you, provided the number is checked on the listing.
