AK-47 | Head Shot (Well-Worn)

The AK-47 | Head Shot in Well-Worn (WW) is the second-to-last step on the scale of this graffiti rifle. Its float limits are 0.38 and 0.45. Covert rank; the skin drops from the Revolution Case. The Revolution Collection was added to the game on February 9, 2023.

What the AK-47 | Head Shot looks like in Well-Worn

The base is light, almost whitish. Over it, someone has laid blotches of pink, lime, turquoise and yellow paint with drips running down from them: a collage of tags rather than a picture with figures. The gas tube is lime, the magazine is in the same tones, and the barrel is left dark. In Well-Worn the collage is already battered at the edges. The receiver edges and stock corners go gray, the pearlescent glint dies out there, and scraps of lettering on the sides of the receiver lose their borders. The large blotches on the flat sides hold up here too.

What to check before buying

Two things to look at before buying:

• float: toward the upper edge of the band, gray bald spots creep from the edges onto the flat surfaces;


• what the previous owner left on the AK-47 | Head Shot: stickers and a name tag.

The AK-47 | Head Shot carries the same artwork on all copies, with no spread by pattern.

The 0.38 to 0.45 stretch is short, and neighboring listings are hard to tell apart by wear.

What the AK-47 | Head Shot costs in Well-Worn

Against this wear the others stand like so:

• Factory New is dearer by about two and an eighth times;


• Minimal Wear is dearer by about sixty percent;


• Field-Tested is dearer by about a tenth;


• Battle-Scarred is cheaper by about a tenth.

Here Well-Worn costs nearly the same as Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred: the three most worn versions keep to a narrow price corridor. Choosing Well-Worn makes sense only when a difference of a few percent matters: it already looks noticeably worse than Field-Tested, and the saving is next to nothing.

Getting the AK-47 | Head Shot

The AK-47 | Head Shot comes out of the Revolution Case; its collection is the same.

Trade-up works too. Feed a contract ten Classified skins of the set, such as AWP | Duality, P2000 | Wicked Sick or UMP-45 | Wild Child, and one Covert skin comes out. There are two Covert skins in the collection, so the odds of getting the rifle are half. The wear of the result is computed from the skins put in, and a worn copy is easiest to get this way.

The Covert rank leads on to a craft, though not to a knife. The Revolution Collection yields gloves: Driver Gloves, Hand Wraps, Hydra Gloves, Moto Gloves, Specialist Gloves or Sport Gloves.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The AK-47 | Head Shot comes in a StatTrak version. It never had Souvenir packages, which were issued only for tournament map collections. Even so, Souvenir-O-Matic lets anyone make a souvenir copy: it puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary inventory skin. That is why isolated souvenir copies occasionally appear for skins that never had a package.

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Head Shot

A light, motley base takes stickers badly: neat tournament work drowns in paint blotches, while a crude street sticker reads as one more tag over the collage. On a battered body an expensive build makes no sense, and putting more into a craft than the skin itself costs is definitely not worth it.

Who this wear suits

Buying the AK-47 | Head Shot in Well-Worn is worth it in these situations:

• you need a cheap Covert AK-47 for CS2 and the look is secondary;


• the lettering matters more than the condition of the edges, and it reads here too;


• the body is going to be used for experiments with cheap stickers in CS2.

The downside is obvious: the saving against Field-Tested is about a tenth, while the gloss is knocked off noticeably. If the budget allows adding a little, Field-Tested looks considerably tidier.
