AK-47 | Inheritance (Factory New)

Factory New (FN) on the AK-47 | Inheritance is the top of a scale that runs to 0.80. In this wear the float band is 0.00–0.07. It is Covert rank, and the rifle drops from the Kilowatt Case.

What the AK-47 | Inheritance looks like in Factory New

The rifle is painted to look like blue-and-white porcelain. The handguard, top cover, side panels and stock are cream-white, with a blue floral and leaf ornament winding over them. The magazine is solid dark blue, and the front sight post and gas block are blue too. A thin gold outline runs along the edges of the parts; the bottom of the magazine and the pads by the grip are gold.

All the large parts are painted. Dark metal remains on the barrel and the small assemblies. The AK-47 | Inheritance has no inscriptions, numbers or logos: all you read is the painted work and the edging along the ribs.

In Factory New the gold line is whole along every edge, and it is the first thing to go: it has almost no width and lies exactly on the rib. Next the corners of the stock and the edge of the handguard give way. The white planes with the painted work wipe clean last, but a dark scar on a light ground shows at once.

Where the AK-47 | Inheritance came from

The finish was drawn by a Steam Workshop artist going by Endrit. He posted the submission on December 23, 2018, and the work reached the game more than five years later. The artist explained the idea briefly: the painting draws on Chinese porcelain and on Delft blauw, the Dutch Delft ceramics. In the item description Valve added "a family heirloom handed down from generation to generation".

The Kilowatt Collection went live on February 6, 2024. The same update brought seventeen community finishes into CS2, along with the Kukri Knife. The finish's number in the catalog is 1171.

What to check before buying

Before paying, check:

• the float: from zero to 0.07 the gold edging holds in full;


• the corners of the stock and the mouth of the magazine, where wear arrives before it reaches the painted work;


• any stickers and name tag already on the weapon.

The pattern on the AK-47 | Inheritance is applied identically to every copy. Little fits between 0.00 and 0.07, so copies differ only slightly.

What the AK-47 | Inheritance costs in Factory New

The other four wears are cheaper:

• Minimal Wear, by almost half;


• Field-Tested, by about two thirds;


• Well-Worn, also by about two thirds;


• Battle-Scarred, by a factor of three and a half.

The three lowest wears cost nearly the same, and the difference among them is smaller than the step from Minimal Wear up to Factory New.

Among Covert AK-47 skins this finish is third from the bottom by price, out of twenty-four. Only the AK-47 | Legion of Anubis and the AK-47 | Head Shot are cheaper. Right above comes the AK-47 | Nightwish, about a tenth more, then the AK-47 | Bloodsport and the AK-47 | Aquamarine Revenge.

Getting the AK-47 | Inheritance

The main route is the Kilowatt Case; the collection has no other.

The skin also comes out of a trade-up contract: ten skins of the rank below, taken from one collection. The collection has two Covert finishes, so the chance of landing on the rifle is one in two. The finish also works as an input toward a knife: the rare item of the Kilowatt Case is the Kukri Knife.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Inheritance

The AK-47 | Inheritance has a StatTrak™ version. Souvenir copies of the finish exist too, but no packages were ever released for it: they were made only for the map collections of tournaments. Such copies are built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from your inventory.

White porcelain is a rare base: even a black sticker reads on it, where on dark finishes it vanishes. The blue ornament sets the tone, so blue and gold stickers settle into the AK-47 | Inheritance design, while red ones fight it. For a craft, leave the stock and handguard for the stickers; the painted side panel is usually kept clear.

Who this wear suits

The AK-47 | Inheritance in this wear makes sense under these conditions:

• you need the gold edging whole, since in the lower wears it breaks along the ribs;


• the rifle is bound for a collection or an expensive craft in CS2;


• paying twice the Minimal Wear price does not bother you.

In first person you see the handguard and the top cover, and the painted work on them reads in any wear. The gold line along the edges is the little that Factory New gives over Minimal Wear.
