In Minimal Wear (MW) the gold thread along the ribs of the AK-47 | Inheritance is still unbroken, and the cream panels carry no scuffing. The float band for the grade runs 0.07 to 0.15. The rank is Covert, and the rifle comes out of the Kilowatt Case. By price this grade stands on its own: the three worn ones are packed into a much cheaper group below it.
What the AK-47 | Inheritance looks like in Minimal Wear
Blue floral work is laid over a cream-white ground in the manner of painted porcelain. It takes the handguard, the top rail cover, the receiver sides and top cover, and the stock. The magazine and pistol grip are blue, and there the scheme is reversed: gold ornament on blue instead of blue on white. The magazine floorplate is gold too, and a gold thread of the same kind edges every white part. Gas block and front sight post are blue, the barrel pale; no numbers or logos appear anywhere on the body.
That thread has almost no width and sits right on the rib, which is why it goes before anything else. In Minimal Wear it still runs continuous, and that is what separates this grade from the three below it. Stock corners, the handguard edge and the magazine mouth start to gray toward the top of the band, while the painting on the flats stays untouched.
Where the AK-47 | Inheritance came from
A Steam Workshop author going by Endrit thought the finish up and published it as "Ak-47 | Inheritance | CS2" on December 23, 2018, back in CS:GO. He named his sources outright: Chinese porcelain and Dutch Delft blauw. The artwork entered the game on February 6, 2024 with the Kilowatt Collection, and Valve's catalog lists it as 1171.
What to check before buying
These are the things to read off an AK-47 | Inheritance listing:
- the float inside 0.07 to 0.15, since closer to 0.15 the stock edges already turn gray;
- whether the gold thread is whole on the ribs of the top cover and the handguard;
- the stickers on the body, and the rename if the copy has one.
There is little to choose between floats, the 0.07 to 0.15 stretch being a short one. The painting itself repeats from listing to listing without change.
What the AK-47 | Inheritance costs in Minimal Wear
Factory New asks nearly double, and above that grade the finish offers nothing.
Downward the drop is immediate and large. Field-Tested is more than one and a half times cheaper, Well-Worn lower by two fifths, Battle-Scarred by three quarters. Those three sit close together, which says where the money goes: into clean edging.
The AK-47 has twenty-four Covert finishes, and in this grade the Inheritance is fourth from the bottom by price. Asiimov and Aquamarine Revenge sit level with it, Neon Rider and Nightwish a little above. Aphrodite sits at the foot of the rank and Wild Lotus at its head.
Getting the AK-47 | Inheritance
The case route is the Kilowatt Case, the only one this finish ever went into.
The second source is a contract: ten skins one rank below from the same collection. That set holds two Covert finishes, so the outcome splits evenly between them. The Covert rank then feeds the next contract up, the one for a rare special item, which in Kilowatt means the Kukri Knife.
StatTrak and Souvenir
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Inheritance
The AK-47 | Inheritance has a StatTrak version. Souvenir copies of the finish turn up as well, though no Souvenir packages were ever made for it: packages only ever covered tournament map collections. Those copies are built with the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a normal skin from the inventory.
Cream porcelain takes dark graphics better than any dark base does, and white stickers vanish on it outright. The blue ornament sets the palette: cool tones fall into the artwork, warm ones argue with it. A craft normally leaves the stock and a strip of handguard, while the painted flat is kept clear.
Who this wear suits
This is the grade to buy when one of these holds:
- the gold thread has to be whole and the Factory New premium is unwelcome;
- the rifle is going into a CS2 showcase, where the body is viewed up close;
- the skin will see matches in CS2, but looks outweigh the saving.
Inside the grade the spread is small, so paying extra for 0.08 over 0.13 gains nothing.
