On the AK-47 | Jungle Spray, Field-Tested (FT) takes the middle of the scale: the camouflage is whole, while the metal already shows at the ribs. You can buy the AK-47 | Jungle Spray with a float from 0.15 to 0.38. It is Industrial Grade rank, and the rifle belongs to the Aztec Collection. In CS2 the skin does not appear in cases.
What the AK-47 | Jungle Spray looks like in Field-Tested
The camouflage is built from green, sand and gray-brown patches blurred into one another with no hard borders. The paint is matte and thin, the same on the barrel, gas tube, handguard, receiver, magazine, grip and stock. Everything is covered, the sights included: no bare metal or plastic is left. There are no inscriptions or logos, and the factory marks on the side can barely be made out under the paint.
In FT the thin layer gives out on the exposed places. Metal bares on the ribs of the handguard, the edge of the cover, the rim of the magazine well and the corners of the stock. The patches are blurred, so wear reads as bald spots of metal, not as lost artwork. What separates the two ends of the band is the number of bald spots, not where they sit.
Where the AK-47 | Jungle Spray came from
The camouflage has no author: Valve drew the stencil itself, and no Steam Workshop submission is to be found behind it. The Aztec Collection opened in the game on August 14, 2013, the first wave of map collections. In Valve's catalog the camouflage is number 122.
What to check before buying
Choosing a particular AK-47 | Jungle Spray rests on these points:
- the float inside 0.15–0.38: near the bottom the edges are almost even, near the top the metal shows in the preview;
- the corners of the stock and the rim of the magazine well, which give out first;
- a name tag and stickers, which stay with the listing on the AK-47 | Jungle Spray.
The pattern on the AK-47 | Jungle Spray varies: the stencil lands with a shift, and the patches spread over the body differently from copy to copy. The finish has no named rare variants, but the picture of the particular listing is worth a look. A copy in this wear comes from the 0.15–0.38 band, and the two ends of it look different. The full scale is cut off on both sides and runs from 0.06 to 0.80.
What the AK-47 | Jungle Spray costs in Field-Tested
The other wears against FT:
- Factory New costs tens of times as much;
- Minimal Wear costs about two and a quarter times as much;
- Well-Worn costs almost the same;
- Battle-Scarred is cheaper by about a tenth.
The cause of the gap is the bottom of the scale: it sits at 0.06, so Factory New fits into the 0.06–0.07 band, one hundredth of the range. The three lowest wears hold close together.
Among Industrial Grade AK-47 skins, the Jungle Spray in this wear is second of six by price. Only the AK-47 | Predator costs more, at twice the price. Below it comes the AK-47 | Baroque Purple, and camouflages like the AK-47 | Safari Mesh are cheaper many times over.
Getting the AK-47 | Jungle Spray
The main route is a drop for playing time: the Aztec set is a map collection and was never put into cases. A Souvenir release exists, which came in packages for the same map.
For the AK-47 | Jungle Spray, a trade-up takes ten skins of the rank below from the same set. Aztec has two Industrial Grade skins, so the chance of landing on this rifle is one in two. One step above it in the set stands the Tec-9 | Ossified.
StatTrak and Souvenir
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Jungle Spray
No StatTrak™ version of the AK-47 | Jungle Spray was ever released. Souvenir copies exist, but no packages were made for this finish: they were made only for the map collections of tournaments. Such copies are built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from your inventory.
The blurred camouflage is a surprisingly convenient background: it does not argue with a sticker's artwork and does not pull attention to itself. Bright colored stickers read best on the green-and-sand base, while military and camouflage ones dissolve into it.
Who this wear suits
The AK-47 | Jungle Spray in Field-Tested is worth buying in these situations:
- you want a calm camouflage rifle for CS2 without paying extra for clean edges;
- choosing by float matters: within 0.15–0.38 the bodies differ noticeably;
- Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred do not suit, since the saving there is a few percent.
The premium for Factory New is out of all proportion to the difference in looks: in a CS2 fight the camouflage looks the same at any float.
