AK-47 | Leet Museo (Factory New)

For the AK-47 | Leet Museo, Factory New (FN) is the top grade: below it the mosaic crumbles, and the price goes with it. The float values here run from 0.00 to 0.07. It is a Covert skin, and the rifle comes from the Operation Riptide Case.

What the AK-47 | Leet Museo looks like in Factory New

There is little bare metal: the barrel, front sight and top of the gas block are dark blue-gray and carry no artwork. Everything else is painted solid, from the handguard and gas tube to the cover and sides of the receiver, the magazine, the grip and the stock.

The picture is not a single one, and the panels do not continue each other. One shows human figures, another green foliage, a third a cream rectangle with a blue square. The colors are subdued, museum colors: beige, brick, turquoise, dark blue and grass green. Valve names the manner outright in the item description: Cubism.

In Factory New not a single panel seam is open. The seams are what produce all the wear further down, since the outlines of the patches coincide with the edges of the cover, the handguard and the stock. Across 0.00 to 0.07 the edges stay solid.

Where the AK-47 | Leet Museo came from

The author works under the name Oscar and laid out the subject in the Workshop submission itself: two Elite Crew fighters creeping along A Long on Dust 2. The manner is borrowed from Pablo Picasso as a tribute, and next to the work the author posted the paintings that pushed him toward it. The AK-47 | Leet Museo was added to the game on September 21, 2021, together with the whole Operation Riptide Collection. The artwork stands under number 1087 in Valve's skin catalog.

What to check before buying

Before taking one, look at these points:

• the float: up to 0.07 the rim of the receiver cover should be even along its whole length;

• the cut of the panels at the corners of the stock, where the lines are whole;

• whatever stickers or name tag this particular rifle already carries.

There is no choice by pattern here as such. In this grade the band is a tight 0.00 to 0.07, where it is hard to catch a difference between listings. The finish's scale is cut off at 0.65, so the top grade gets about a ninth of it.

What the AK-47 | Leet Museo costs in Factory New

The other grades trail the factory copy like this:

• Minimal Wear costs about half as much;

• Field-Tested costs a third as much;

• Well-Worn sells at roughly an eighth of the price;

• Battle-Scarred is about nine times cheaper.

Between the top and the bottom of the scale the spread is ninefold. The cause is the mosaic: the panels hold by their edges, and the edges are what rub off.

By price in Factory New the finish is nineteenth of the twenty-four Covert AKs from the bottom. Only five stand above it, and three of those move into another price class: AK-47 | X-Ray, AK-47 | Fire Serpent and AK-47 | Wild Lotus. AK-47 | Consequence of the Jinn is practically level, while AK-47 | AUTOEXEC is about a tenth dearer. Below it stands AK-47 | Jaguar, and the cheapest in the rank is AK-47 | Legion of Anubis.

Getting the AK-47 | Leet Museo

The direct source is the Operation Riptide Case, and the finish has no other. The skin can also be had by trade-up: it takes ten skins one rank lower from this collection. There are two Covert items in the set, so the trade hands out one of them at random.

StatTrak and Souvenir

There is a StatTrak™ version of the AK-47 | Leet Museo. Souvenir copies of the finish exist as well, though no Souvenir packages were ever released for it, because those were made only for the tournament map collections. Such copies come from the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from the inventory.

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Leet Museo

Craft on the top grade argues with itself: what is paid for here is an untouched body, and a sticker goes on for good. If you want one anyway, small light logos in the museum palette work. Bright neon on the subdued panels looks like a stain.

Who this wear suits

Factory New makes sense for the AK-47 | Leet Museo when:

• the rifle goes into a CS2 showcase and up for close inspection;

• you want whole panel outlines, not just a recognizable scene;

• the copy is taken as a base for a craft of clean stickers.

In a CS2 match the surcharge does not pay off: from a distance the mosaic looks the same at any float.
