The AK-47 | Legion of Anubis in Field-Tested (FT) is the third cleanest of five grades on the rifle with the Egyptian gods. Floats in this grade run from 0.15 to 0.38. It is a Covert rank skin, it drops from the Fracture Case and belongs to that case's collection. The Fracture Collection was released on August 6, 2020.
What the AK-47 | Legion of Anubis looks like in Field-Tested
The receiver carries Anubis and Ra, gods of the underworld and the sun, set on opposite sides of the rifle. The palette is built on black, gold and teal, the colors of Egyptian funerary painting. The figures are large, with a crisp outline, and read whole at a glance. In FT the scuffs gather on the edges and along the top of the magazine, while the gods themselves stay untouched, since they sit in the center of the sides.
What to check before buying
Only two things matter:
- the float: the gold areas go matte before the black ones as wear builds;
- any stickers and name tag that already sit on the copy.
The artwork on the AK-47 | Legion of Anubis is fixed, so there is no "rare" copy to hunt by pattern.
At the low end of the 0.15 to 0.38 band the rifle looks noticeably fresher than at the top.
What the AK-47 | Legion of Anubis costs in Field-Tested
This is how the other grades compare in price:
- Factory New is dearer by roughly two thirds;
- Minimal Wear is dearer by roughly a tenth;
- Well-Worn costs practically the same as FT;
- Battle-Scarred barely differs either.
The spread across the whole scale is one of the smallest among Covert skins: from the most beaten copy to a clean one the price rises by roughly half again. The palette explains it. Black with gold takes wear calmly, and the visual gap between grades is small. So FT here is picked not to save money but simply as the middle.
Getting the AK-47 | Legion of Anubis
The AK-47 | Legion of Anubis drops from the Fracture Case. No other case holds this rifle.
A trade-up takes ten Classified skins from the same collection: Glock-18 | Vogue, M4A4 | Tooth Fairy or XM1014 | Entombed will do. The collection has two Covert skins, so the rifle comes out in about half of the trade-ups. How clean the result is depends on what you put in.
Beyond that, the Covert rank feeds a knife craft: the Fracture Collection yields the Nomad Knife, Paracord Knife, Skeleton Knife and Survival Knife.
StatTrak and Souvenir
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Legion of Anubis
The AK-47 | Legion of Anubis has a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages were ever made for this finish, because packages only ever covered tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can still be built by hand. The Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a normal skin from the inventory. That is why the odd souvenir copy turns up where no package was ever made.
A black-and-gold base with teal inserts makes a handsome ground that is not overloaded, and stickers hold up on it. Gold ones merge into the artwork, while white and teal ones read well. The stock and handguard are left for stickers; covering the sides with the gods is not done, since the whole composition is lost.
Who this wear suits
Field-Tested on the AK-47 | Legion of Anubis is a reasonable buy if:
- you want a story-driven AK-47 for CS2 and see no reason to overpay for a clean float;
- the price spread across the scale is small, and the middle looks like a sensible choice;
- you want the figures of the gods intact: in FT they are untouched.
In CS2 from the first-person view the sides are not visible, so the composition is appreciated more by a spectator than by the player.
