The AK-47 | Neon Revolution in Battle-Scarred (BS) is an acid-pink Covert rank AK where the paint is knocked back furthest. Floats in this wear run from 0.45 to 0.80. The skin's scale ends at a ceiling of 0.80, so Battle-Scarred takes 44% of it. The skin, built for the Terrorist side, drops from the Gamma 2 Case.
What the AK-47 | Neon Revolution looks like in Battle-Scarred
The base is bright pink, close to fuchsia, with vertical drips. Acid green traces the ANARCHY lettering on the cover, drips at the muzzle, the bottom of the grip and the lower edge of the magazine. The barrel and gas block are dark, and there are small green splashes on the tube.
The paint is laid on carelessly, as if from a spray can. In places rust-brown wood shows through the pink, and the bottom of the receiver stays dark gray. Small stencil-style icons are scattered along the handguard and the stock. Valve describes this as a mix of hydrographic decals with drip painting applied on top.
In Battle-Scarred the pink wears away along the edges. The top of the cover, the ribs of the magazine and the corners of the stock open up dark wood, and the green letters lose their crisp outline. Wear is fixed when the skin drops, so a listing stays as its float shows it.
Where the AK-47 | Neon Revolution came from
Coridium, a Steam Workshop artist, is the author. His submission “AK47 - ANARCHY” appeared on March 16, 2015, and the lettering on the cover came from there.
The work was commissioned by One Game Agency, the team that runs the Gamersbook community. It needed a second weapon set for the CounterPit League Season One tournament, planned to start at the end of April 2015. The Gamma 2 Collection came out on August 18, 2016, and the skin was in the set from day one.
What to check before buying
Before buying, compare these points:
- float: the band from 0.45 to 0.80 is long, and the extreme copies differ visibly;
- the outline of the green letters on the cover and how much wood shows on the edges;
- a name tag and stickers, if they are already on this rifle.
Nothing about the paint varies from copy to copy, so pattern takes no part in the choice.
What the AK-47 | Neon Revolution costs in Battle-Scarred
Every other wear costs more than this one:
- Factory New costs almost double;
- Minimal Wear costs about a tenth more;
- Field-Tested sits level, less than three percent apart;
- Well-Worn costs a few percent more.
The four lower wears cost practically the same, and a noticeable surcharge starts only at Factory New.
Among twenty-three Covert AKs with a price in this wear, the skin is pricier than eighteen and cheaper than four. AK-47 | Vulcan, AK-47 | The Empress and AK-47 | Fuel Injector are slightly cheaper, with a gap of a seventh at most. AK-47 | Fire Serpent costs about five and a half times as much, and AK-47 | Wild Lotus more than forty times.
Getting the AK-47 | Neon Revolution
The skin drops from the Gamma 2 Case, and no other case holds it. A trade-up can build it from ten skins one rank lower in the set. The set holds two Covert skins, so the odds are one in two.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The AK-47 | Neon Revolution comes in a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages were ever released for this finish, since those existed only for tournament map collections. You can still make a Souvenir copy yourself: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from your inventory. That is why a few Souvenir copies turn up now and then, even where no packages ever existed.
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Neon Revolution
The background is ragged, so stickers with a clean outline stand out on it more than on a smooth skin. Black and white ones read on the pink, while pink and green ones sink into the paint as if part of the art for CS2. It is better not to cover the lettering on the cover, because without it the main subject is lost.
Who this wear suits
This wear of the AK-47 | Neon Revolution is worth buying for three reasons:
- you want an acid AK for CS2 where the scuffing is already part of the look;
- Factory New costs almost twice as much, and the surcharge pays for untouched paint;
- any float in the band from 0.45 to 0.80 will do, provided you have checked the number on the listing.
If you want more intact pink, Well-Worn and Field-Tested cost practically the same and show less wear.
