The AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge in Battle-Scarred (BS) is a rifle on a wine-and-white base with gold trim, the most worn of the finish's five variants. The rifle is Classified rank and comes from the Radiant Collection. Float is fixed at the drop and never changes, so the scuffing you can see on a listing stays with the rifle for good.

Valve describes the paint job as a wine-and-white base with gold accents. The gold runs along the edges and supplies the only metallic glint, while all the rest depends on the pairing of wine and white.

This wear of the finish has a float of 0.45 to 1.00. That is more than half of the finish's own scale, and nothing caps it: the scale runs all the way to one. Between 0.45 and 1.00 the scuffing builds up visibly, so copies at the lower and upper ends look different even though they share a name.

Where the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge came from

Valve drew the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge, and there is no Steam Workshop submission for it. The skin appeared on March 31, 2025, when the Radiant Collection was added to the game. In Valve's catalog the finish carries the number 1309.

The finish is captioned with a line: "Don't look at it that way—it's an art piece, not a tool for violence". In plain terms, it asks you to see a work of art and not an instrument of violence.

What to check before buying

A few points are worth checking before you buy the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge:

• the exact float: at 0.45 the rifle looks closer to Well-Worn, while at 1.00 it is the most worn state of the finish;


• whatever name tag and stickers the rifle has picked up already.

Nobody has to pick this finish by pattern — it is identical across all listings.

What the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge costs in Battle-Scarred

Of the finish's five wears this is the cheapest, and prices climb from here as follows:

• Well-Worn costs about a seventh more;


• Field-Tested costs about two thirds more;


• Minimal Wear costs about four times as much;


• Factory New costs about ten times as much.

Among the fifteen Classified AK-47s in this wear, the skin is fourth from the bottom: only Ice Coaled, Searing Rage and The Outsiders cost less. Directly above it are Phantom Disruptor and Crane Flight, and Hydroponic holds the top of the rank.

Getting the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge

Cases never held this skin. The Radiant Collection is on the weekly reward list, the Weekly Care Package, and Valve put it there on March 31, 2025.

The rifle comes out of a trade-up contract fed with ten skins from the rank below in this collection. The Radiant Collection has three Restricted finishes: Desert Eagle | Mulberry, M4A1-S | Glitched Paint and USP-S | Bleeding Edge. It has a single Classified finish, so the contract always returns exactly that one.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge

The AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge has no StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages exist for the finish either, as those were issued only for tournament map collections. A Souvenir copy is still within reach: the Souvenir-O-Matic fits gold tournament stickers and a player autograph onto an ordinary skin in your inventory. For that reason isolated Souvenir copies show up occasionally where no packages were ever made.

The base has two colors, wine and white, and the gold is gathered along the edges. For a CS2 craft that means the color of the sticker itself decides the result: a light one reads better on the wine areas, a dark one on the white.

A craft on a scuffed copy costs less than on a clean one, because in Battle-Scarred the rifle itself is cheaper than in any other wear of the finish.

Who this wear suits

Buying the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge in this wear makes sense when:

• you want a Classified rifle at the lowest price, since nothing in this finish is cheaper than this wear;


• the wine-and-white palette with gold matters more than a clean surface;


• you are buying for Terrorist-side play in CS2 and the scuffing does not bother you.

Look at the float number before paying: the band here is the longest of the five, and two listings with the same wear name can sit far apart on it.
