The AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge in Factory New (FN) is the top wear of the finish, where the wine-and-white base and the gold trim are almost untouched by wear. Its rank is Classified, the highest in the Radiant Collection, which holds no Covert skins. The floats it can have in this wear run from 0.00 to 0.07.
What the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge looks like in Factory New
In Valve's description the finish is a base of wine and white, completed with gold accents. The gold is gathered along the edges and gives the rifle its single metallic glint, and in this wear it lies untouched.
A spread of 0.00 to 0.07 is so small that choosing by float is pointless. Every listing in this wear sits at the very start of the scale, and the next step down, Minimal Wear, begins at 0.07.
Where the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge came from
The author of the finish is Valve itself, not a Workshop artist. Valve's catalog number for it is 1309. The Radiant Collection entered the game on March 31, 2025, and the same day it went onto the weekly reward list.
The finish is signed with the line "Don't look at it that way—it's an art piece, not a tool for violence". The point is that the paint job is offered as a work of art and not as an instrument.
What to check before buying
Choosing a particular AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge comes down to these points:
- the float value: the wear is the same across listings, but a copy at 0.00 is cleaner than one at 0.07;
- stickers already on the rifle and any applied name: on a clean copy they cover untouched surface.
The finish looks the same from one listing to the next, so price owes nothing to pattern.
What the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge costs in Factory New
This is the most expensive wear of the finish, and the others are cheaper than it as follows:
- Minimal Wear by a factor of two and a half;
- Field-Tested by a factor of about six;
- Well-Worn by a factor of almost nine;
- Battle-Scarred by a factor of ten.
Among the fourteen Classified AK-47s in Factory New, the finish lands in the middle of the row: seven cost less and six cost more. Slightly cheaper are Crane Flight and Point Disarray, followed by The Outsiders and Cartel. The top of the rank belongs to Red Laminate, Jet Set and Hydroponic.
Getting the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge
The AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge is not found in CS2 cases. The Radiant Collection is on the list for the weekly reward, the Weekly Care Package.
Another route is a trade-up contract: ten Restricted skins from this collection produce its single Classified skin. The eligible inputs are Desert Eagle | Mulberry, M4A1-S | Glitched Paint and USP-S | Bleeding Edge.
StatTrak and Souvenir
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge
A StatTrak version of the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge was never released. There were no Souvenir packages for this finish either, since those were made only for tournament map collections. Even so, you can build a Souvenir copy yourself: the Souvenir-O-Matic applies gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to a regular skin from your inventory. So the odd Souvenir copy appears even where packages never existed.
The base is two-toned, wine and white, and the contrast comes from a sticker of the right tone: a light one on the wine, a dark one on the white. On a clean rifle the sticker sits on an even surface rather than on top of a scuff.
It is better not to cover the gold on the edges, because it is the only thing on the finish that shines. For a CS2 craft that is an argument for Factory New: the base is untouched and does not compete with the stickers.
Who this wear suits
Buying the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge specifically in Factory New is sensible when:
- the gold edges and the wine-and-white base need to stay untouched;
- the stickers need a clean background with no signs of wear;
- you want the senior skin of the Radiant Collection in its best condition.
The price gap to Minimal Wear is two and a half times, and on a band of seven hundredths the float inside this wear changes almost nothing.
