AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge (Field-Tested)

AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge in Field-Tested (FT) is a wine-and-gold rifle in the lower half of the Classified rank. It does not drop from any case: the Radiant Collection is handed out in weekly Care Packages for time played.

What the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge looks like in Field-Tested

The base is two-toned: a cream-white body and wine-burgundy furniture — the handguard, grip, stock and the top of the receiver. Across the white runs an Art Nouveau floral ornament of winding stems and flowers, traced in a thin gold line. The same ornament repeats on the magazine, only there it is burgundy on cream.

The gold is not a fill but an outline: it traces every curl and the edges of the furniture. That is why the pattern reads as chased metalwork rather than print. There are three colors — white, burgundy and gold — and burgundy covers about half of the body.

In Field-Tested the gold outline is the first thing to go on exposed spots: along the receiver edge and across the top of the magazine the line breaks. The cream base grays in the same places, while the burgundy furniture holds up longer, since wear reads less clearly on dark paint.

Where the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge came from

Valve drew the finish itself, and the catalog lists it as number 1309. The Radiant Collection entered the game on March 31, 2025. In the update note Valve listed it together with two neighboring collections: "Added three all-new weapon collections to the Weekly Care Package drop list: Ascent, Boreal, and Radiant". So three collections were added to the weekly reward list on a single day.

The rest follows from that. The collection has no case, copies arrive as drops for time played, and reward collections have no StatTrak version at all.

What to check before buying

• the gold outline along the receiver edge — it breaks first;


• float: on the cream base a gray haze shows sooner than on the burgundy furniture;


• stickers or a name tag that the previous owner put on.

The artwork on the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge is the same on every copy, so there is no pattern premium to pay.

What the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge costs in Field-Tested

Factory New costs about seven times as much, Minimal Wear two and a half times. The step down is large: Well-Worn is about one and a half times cheaper, Battle-Scarred nearly half. The sevenfold gap above rests on the gold outline, which in the clean wears is intact along its whole length.

Among Classified AK-47s in this wear, the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge sits fifth from the bottom of fifteen: four skins cost less, ten cost more. The nearest one below is about a quarter cheaper, and the two after it cost half as much. Above come AK-47 | Crane Flight and one more skin, about one and a half times as expensive.

Getting the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge

There are two routes: a weekly Care Package for time played, or a trade-up contract of ten Restricted skins from the Radiant Collection. The collection has a single Classified skin, so the result of the trade is predictable.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge

A StatTrak version of the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge was never issued. Souvenir copies do turn up, but no packages were made for this finish: those existed only for tournament map collections. Such copies are built through Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts golden tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from the inventory.

The ornament takes up the background, and stickers on it are almost always superfluous: any sticker fights the curls and covers part of the pattern. If you still want a CS2 craft, go for small single-color stickers and place them on the stock, where the ornament thins out. Gold stickers merge with the outline completely.

Who this wear suits

Buying the AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge in Field-Tested makes sense for these reasons:

• you like the Art Nouveau look rather than military or neon finishes;


• you don't want to pay seven times as much for an intact gold outline;


• you need a light AK for the Terrorist side in CS2 from the lower half of the Classified rank.

In FT the gold line already breaks on the raised spots, and up close that is noticeable. If the outline has to be intact, look at Minimal Wear.
