The AK-47 | Olive Polycam in Battle-Scarred (BS) is the most worn rifle among the skin's five wears. Battle-Scarred here lies between 0.45 and 0.50: the skin's float stops at 0.50, so the BS band takes up only 10% of the range. The rank is Industrial Grade, and the collection is the Sport & Field Collection.
What the AK-47 | Olive Polycam looks like in Battle-Scarred
The picture is the same here: olive handguard and grip with no pattern, and camo of gray-brown triangles with a grainy yellow-green fill on the receiver, stock and magazine. Valve describes it as a green-gray halftone.
Battle-Scarred usually stretches to 1.00, but on this rifle the scale is cut off at a ceiling of 0.50. The most beaten-up copies that other skins have do not exist here. The wear is determined at the drop, and the paint does not rub off any further over time.
Where the AK-47 | Olive Polycam came from
Valve itself worked on the artwork, and nobody put it up in the Steam Workshop. The Sport & Field Collection came out in October 2024, and the AK-47 | Olive Polycam has been part of it since release. In Valve's catalog it is skin number 1179.
What to check before buying
Before taking one, look at these points:
- float between 0.45 and 0.50: the numbers differ, but the eye barely sees it;
- stickers and a name tag from the previous owner, which go with the listing;
- the Souvenir prefix, which means a different product, not a regular copy.
The 0.45 to 0.50 band is tight, and the extreme listings differ only by the number.
What the AK-47 | Olive Polycam costs in Battle-Scarred
The other wears of this skin, compared with Battle-Scarred:
- Factory New is priced about 1.7 times higher;
- Minimal Wear costs about 1.2 times as much;
- Well-Worn costs about 1.1 times as much;
- Field-Tested costs almost the same.
Among the six Industrial Grade AK-47 skins, Battle-Scarred sits second from the bottom: only AK-47 | African Grid is cheaper. Above it are AK-47 | VariCamo Grey, then AK-47 | Baroque Purple and AK-47 | Jungle Spray, and AK-47 | Predator is the most expensive of all.
Getting the AK-47 | Olive Polycam
No CS2 case contains the AK-47 | Olive Polycam. A contract cannot produce it either, since Industrial Grade is the lowest rank in the collection. The way to get one is a finished listing on LIS-SKINS.
StatTrak and Souvenir
No StatTrak version of the AK-47 | Olive Polycam exists. Souvenir copies exist, but none came from a package, because Souvenir packages were made only for tournament map collections. The Souvenir-O-Matic is the source: it puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a regular skin from the inventory.
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Olive Polycam
The background is busy, and small details of a sticker get lost on it, so large designs are the better choice. Light and red stickers give the sharpest contrast on olive.
Who this wear suits
Battle-Scarred is a reasonable buy if:
- you want the cheapest entry to this skin;
- the rifle is for CS2 as a working one, not a showpiece;
- you need a worn camo base under stickers.
If clean paint matters, Minimal Wear or Factory New is the better pick.
