This is the AK-47 | Panthera onca in Battle-Scarred (BS). The wear shows at once: the camouflage on the metal is rubbed away at the edges, and the wood carries marks of use. Classified rank, The Ancient Collection. The skin has no regular case.
What the AK-47 | Panthera onca looks like in Battle-Scarred
The finish rests on three things: camouflage, carving and the jaguar. The camouflage on the metal is sand-gold with olive blotches. The stock and handguard are wood, dark brown and carved. A jaguar with black spots is drawn on the receiver. The black barrel looks sharp against the gold metal.
In Battle-Scarred the wear runs the whole length of the rifle: the painted metal lightens along the edges, and the carved pattern on the wood loses its definition. The jaguar on the flat side of the receiver holds up longer than the small details. The float runs from 0.45 to 1.00, stretched wide, and you can see it on inspection.
What to check before buying
When picking a listing for the AK-47 | Panthera onca, this is what matters:
- float: the band covers more than half the scale, and the lots at the ends look different;
- the state of the jaguar on the receiver and of the carving on the stock;
- the name tag and stickers the AK-47 | Panthera onca already carries, which leave with the listing.
The artwork of the AK-47 | Panthera onca is fixed and does not depend on the copy.
What the AK-47 | Panthera onca costs in Battle-Scarred
Set beside Battle-Scarred, the other wears look like this:
- Factory New costs two and a half times more;
- Minimal Wear costs almost twice as much;
- Field-Tested costs about a quarter more;
- Well-Worn costs a twentieth more.
Battle-Scarred takes up 0.55 of the 1.00 float scale, the widest of the five. The lower three wears sit close in price, and the noticeable jump upward begins at Minimal Wear.
Among fifteen Classified AK-47s in Battle-Scarred, the Panthera onca stands fourth from the top: eleven cost less and three cost more. Only AK-47 | Case Hardened, AK-47 | Jet Set and AK-47 | Hydroponic are above it. AK-47 | Red Laminate costs about two and a half times less, and AK-47 | Redline, AK-47 | Cartel and AK-47 | Frontside Misty five to eight times less.
Getting the AK-47 | Panthera onca
The finish has no case. Copies come out of tournament souvenir packages for the Ancient map and carry gold stickers. A trade-up for the AK-47 | Panthera onca takes ten skins of the rank below from this collection. The Ancient Collection came out in December 2020.
StatTrak and Souvenir
There is no StatTrak version of the AK-47 | Panthera onca. Souvenir copies exist, and tournament packages for the Ancient map hand them out.
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Panthera onca
Worn camouflage leaves more free background than intact camouflage: the rubbed-away spots do not compete with a sticker. Gold and brown stickers match the wood, and white ones show on the dark parts. It is better not to cover the jaguar on the receiver.
Who this wear suits
Buying the AK-47 | Panthera onca in Battle-Scarred makes sense when:
- you want an AK with a jaguar priced below the other wears of the skin;
- scuffs on the metal and the wood do not bother you;
- in CS2 a recognizable artwork matters more to you than factory cleanness.
If you want less wear, Minimal Wear costs almost twice as much.
