AK-47 | Panthera onca (Field-Tested)

The AK-47 | Panthera onca in Field-Tested (FT) is the working middle of the scale for a finish with carved wood and a jaguar on the receiver. Wear on this finish is capped at 0.15 below and 0.38 above. The rank is Classified, and the rifle belongs to The Ancient Collection.

What the AK-47 | Panthera onca looks like in Field-Tested

The finish has two layers. The metal wears a sandy-yellow camouflage with olive blotches, while the wooden stock and handguard stay brown, with a carved ornament. A jaguar is drawn on the receiver: a yellow-orange body with black spots. The magazine is kept in the same yellow-olive tones.

Valve's description says the carving on the wood often draws attention away from the jaguar. The name of the finish is the Latin species name of the jaguar.

Search the AK-47 | Panthera onca by the number, not by the wear label, because the band from 0.15 to 0.38 is wide. It takes up 0.23 of the finish's scale, and the scale itself runs from 0.00 to 1.00.

What to check before buying

Before paying for an AK-47 | Panthera onca, it helps to check:

• the float, which shows where the listing sits inside the stretch from 0.15 to 0.38;

• the carving on the wood of the stock and handguard, which Valve singles out in the description;

• the name tag and stickers this AK-47 | Panthera onca already carries.

Hunting the AK-47 | Panthera onca by pattern index is pointless: the artwork does not change.

What the AK-47 | Panthera onca costs in Field-Tested

The other wears, set against this one:

• Factory New is about 1.9 times pricier;

• Minimal Wear sits at roughly one and a half times this price;

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Panthera onca

There is little free background, because the camouflage, the artwork on the receiver and the carving take up almost the whole rifle. Warm and golden stickers sit in tune with the finish, while blue and white ones stand out from it as a separate patch.
