The AK-47 | Redline in Well-Worn (WW) is the same black rifle with red lines, taken from the narrow band just before Battle-Scarred. The wear spans floats 0.38 to 0.45. It is Classified rank, and the rifle belongs to The Phoenix Collection.
What the AK-47 | Redline looks like in Well-Worn
The base of the finish is black carbon fiber with red lines laid over it: along the receiver, along the edge of the magazine, and in rings around the handguard. There is no lettering and there are no colored patches, so red on black stays the only accent.
The 0.38 to 0.45 band is short, and differences between listings get lost in the noise. It takes up 0.07 of the finish's 0.60 scale, about an eighth, because the skin exists only between 0.10 and 0.70.
Where the AK-47 | Redline came from
The design is by emkay; in the Workshop the submission was titled "AK-47 | Elegant-Red - v1.1 (Redline)". Its Valve catalog number is 282. The AK-47 | Redline appeared on February 20, 2014, when The Phoenix Collection was added to the game. It launched alongside Operation Phoenix, and Valve presented the case as a set of thirteen community finishes.
What to check before buying
Before paying for the AK-47 | Redline, it is worth checking:
- the float, which shows the position inside the short 0.38 to 0.45 band;
- the red lines on the handguard and the receiver, since they carry the whole design;
- any name tag and stickers this AK-47 | Redline already wears.
Every copy carries the same artwork, and no pattern is drawn from a roll.
What the AK-47 | Redline costs in Well-Worn
Next to Well-Worn, the other wears come out like this:
- Minimal Wear costs about five times as much;
- Field-Tested costs about 13% more;
- Battle-Scarred is about 10% cheaper.
The finish never comes in Factory New, because its lowest float is 0.10. Among Classified AK-47s in Well-Worn, it sits in the upper half of a row of fifteen: nine skins are cheaper and five are dearer. The nearest one below is AK-47 | Cartel, and after it, with a noticeable gap, comes AK-47 | Frontside Misty.
Getting the AK-47 | Redline
The rifle drops from the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case, and no other case carries this finish.
A trade-up for the AK-47 | Redline takes ten skins of the rank below. The finish itself works well as a contract input: ten Classified skins of the collection make one Covert.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The AK-47 | Redline also comes with StatTrak. No souvenir packages were issued for this finish, as those were made only for the tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can still be built by hand: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from your inventory.
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Redline
The black ground is nearly neutral here, and red is the only accent. That is why red and white stickers gather a single set around the lines, while contrasting colors, yellow or light blue, stand out as a separate spot.
Who this wear suits
Buying the AK-47 | Redline here, in Well-Worn, makes sense under these conditions:
- you want a minimalist rifle in CS2 whose artwork is nothing but red lines;
- price matters more than looks: Minimal Wear costs more than five times as much;
- wear does not bother you, and a surcharge for Field-Tested is not needed.
