Description

The AK-47 | Safety Net in Field-Tested (FT) sits at the middle of the scale. The orange net is whole on the sides, but the bridges on the ribs are already tearing. Copies of the AK-47 | Safety Net in this wear fall within 0.15 to 0.38, against the finish's own ceiling of 0.60. The skin is Restricted rank and belongs to the 2018 Inferno Collection, coming from the Souvenir packages for that map. The model is Terrorist-only.

What the AK-47 | Safety Net looks like in Field-Tested

An orange net runs over the handguard, cover, receiver sides, grip and stock: thin bridges laid over pale gray-green oval cells. The gas tube, barrel shroud, gas block and front sight are painted white, with no pattern. The magazine is not painted at all and stays a dark black-brown, while the trigger and safety lever are bright metal. There is no lettering, numbering or logo on the body: the whole pattern is an even repeat of cells.

The bridges of the net are thin. In this wear they are already worn off on the handguard ribs, the edge of the cover and the corners of the stock. White paint on the round gas tube and front sight goes early and lays bare the dark metal, so the front half looks dirtier than the rear. The flat sides of the receiver keep the pattern whole. Listings of the AK-47 | Safety Net within 0.15 to 0.38 differ noticeably in appearance.

Where the AK-47 | Safety Net came from

The artwork has no author: Valve made it itself, and no Workshop submission is recorded for the finish. The 2018 Inferno Collection appeared back on September 3, 2018. In Valve's catalog this finish is number 795.

What to check before buying

What matters when buying the AK-47 | Safety Net:

  • the float: at 0.15 the net is whole, nearer 0.38 the bridges tear on every rib;

  • the condition of the white parts up front, which gray before the body does;

  • a name tag and stickers, if they are already on this AK-47 | Safety Net.

The artwork on the AK-47 | Safety Net is the same on every copy, so there is no particular one to hunt for.

What the AK-47 | Safety Net costs in Field-Tested

Factory New costs about four times as much, and it is the biggest step on this finish. Minimal Wear costs about a third more, Well-Worn about a quarter more. Battle-Scarred and this wear run level: they are separated by a few cents, a couple of listings.

Among Restricted AK-47 skins, this finish is fourth from the bottom of nine. A little dearer come the AK-47 | Rat Rod and the AK-47 | Slate, cheaper the AK-47 | Breakthrough and the AK-47 | Emerald Pinstripe. The top of the rank is held by the AK-47 | First Class, about thirty-five times dearer.

Getting the AK-47 | Safety Net

The source for this finish is tournament-based: the Inferno Souvenir packages were given to viewers of Majors in different years, from London 2018 to Budapest 2025.

The AK-47 | Safety Net is made by a contract of ten skins of the rank below, all from one collection. Three finishes hold the Restricted rank of the set, so the rifle does not come out in every trade-up.

StatTrak and Souvenir

No StatTrak version of the AK-47 | Safety Net was ever issued, while a Souvenir variant exists.

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Safety Net

The net is a small, repeating pattern, so a large sticker on the side of the receiver sits flat and does not fight the artwork. Orange and beige stickers dissolve into the bridges, while blue and black ones read best. The white front end is no good for a craft: the paint comes off it faster.

Who this wear suits

Buying the AK-47 | Safety Net in Field-Tested is justified in these cases:

  • you want a bright orange AK-47 for CS2 for little money;

  • you are ready to select a listing by float: within the stretch the look differs;

  • the rifle is for the match, not for a shelf in the CS2 inventory.

Near the lower end the net holds almost as it does in Minimal Wear, and the overpayment for the clean wears is small.
