In Field-Tested (FT), the AK-47 | Searing Rage sits on the step where the artwork already shows wear, but the scuffs suit its art brut manner. Its float band is 0.15 to 0.38. It is a Classified rank skin, and it comes from the Fever Case.
What the AK-47 | Searing Rage looks like in Field-Tested
The base is a dark gray-blue, nearly black, with a deliberately scuffed texture. Yellow-orange flames with a red outline rise over it. The fire starts at the bottom edge of the handguard, covers the magazine, and runs up onto the top cover and the sides of the receiver. Under the flames the magazine is dark red, and the stock is dark with orange strokes.
Orange marker scrawl runs along the gas tube and the cover. Only one word is legible, “ENEMIES”, beside a cross and arrows, and the other tags are unreadable on purpose. Valve explains the art plainly: these are the scattered thoughts of an Elite Crew fighter who was once in his right mind. The item's tagline picks up the same idea, a run-together string of shouts about kill, destroy and no fear.
There is almost nothing light in the finish, so wear at this level takes away the fine details. Those are the marker strokes on the ribs of the handguard and the flame outlines along the edges of the stock. The dense fire on the flat side of the magazine holds out longest, and the dark base simply hides scratches.
Where the AK-47 | Searing Rage came from
Horameow made the finish and uploaded a submission of the same name to the Steam Workshop on April 28, 2024. By his own account three people worked on it: @jancrope and @Jekakakdela drew it alongside him, and the brief they set themselves was a dark, aggressive design.
The Fever Collection opened in the game on March 31, 2025, and Valve's note for that update was a single line about the new case. In Valve's catalog the finish is number 1207.
What to check before buying
Picking a specific rifle rests on these points:
- float: nearer 0.38, the thin marker lines disappear;
- whether the rifle carries stickers and a name tag;
- the version of the listing, whether regular, StatTrak or Souvenir.
Every copy carries the same pattern: the details of the art are set in advance and land identically on all of them.
The band from 0.15 to 0.38 leaves enough spread to justify comparing several listings.
What the AK-47 | Searing Rage costs in Field-Tested
The three lowest wears cost almost the same:
- Factory New runs about three and a half times higher;
- Minimal Wear sits about one and a half times above it;
- Well-Worn is almost level;
- Battle-Scarred is cheaper by about a tenth.
There is no point going below Field-Tested, because the saving is token. Upward the gap is sharp, and what the money buys there is whole marker lines, which are thinnest on the ribs.
Among Classified AK-47 finishes, this one in this wear is second from the bottom of fifteen: only AK-47 | Ice Coaled is cheaper. Next come AK-47 | Phantom Disruptor and AK-47 | The Outsiders. The top of the rank is held by AK-47 | Case Hardened, AK-47 | Jet Set and AK-47 | Hydroponic.
Getting the AK-47 | Searing Rage
The source is the Fever Case, and no other case carries this finish. A trade-up can also produce the rifle: it takes ten skins one rank lower, all from one collection. Desert Eagle | Serpent Strike, Galil AR | Control and Nova | Rising Sun all qualify. The collection has three Classified finishes, so the result is a random one.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The AK-47 | Searing Rage comes in a StatTrak version. Souvenir copies of the finish exist too, but no packages were ever released for it, since those were made only for tournament map collections. Such copies are built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from your inventory.
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Searing Rage
The body is painted almost entirely, so CS2 leaves very little free room for stickers. If you place any, keep them small and toward the stock, where there is less scrawl. Black and white ones work better than colored ones: the warm palette is saturated already, and holographic stickers get lost in the fire completely.
Who this wear suits
Field-Tested on the AK-47 | Searing Rage is worth buying for these reasons:
- you want a Classified AK for CS2 with hand-drawn rather than digital-looking graphics;
- you are putting together a Terrorist loadout in dark orange tones;
- wear should not fight the artwork.
The art brut manner is not for everyone, and up close the rifle looks deliberately sloppy. It is also one of the few AKs that scuffs hardly hurt.
