Description

The AK-47 | Steel Delta in Field-Tested (FT): the bronze streaks across the wood are touched only at the edges, and the design itself is intact. The float band here is 0.15 to 0.38. The skin is Mil-Spec rank, and the rifle belongs to the Anubis Collection.

What the AK-47 | Steel Delta looks like in Field-Tested

The paint sits on the wooden parts and the top of the receiver. The forend, stock and grip are flooded with a warm brown-bronze marked by dark lengthwise veining, and the streaks run along the weapon like the grain of metal. The receiver, dust cover and magazine stay dark gray metal, and the barrel and gas tube are unpainted. There are no figures or lettering at all. The veining is uneven: in places it gathers into dense bundles, bigger on the stock and finer on the forend.

In Field-Tested the corners of the stock and the edge of the forend lighten, and the bronze fades to a gray-beige. The gray metal parts barely show wear, so you read a copy's condition off the wood. At 0.15 the streaks are even along their whole length; closer to 0.38 the light corners show even in the preview.

Where the AK-47 | Steel Delta came from

The finish was drawn by an artist who goes by SayChains. The Anubis Collection came out on April 24, 2023, and in the skin catalog this finish is number 1238. In the post for that update Valve presented a set of nineteen finishes built around the map that was then entering the active pool.

What to check before buying

What to compare when choosing an AK-47 | Steel Delta:

  • the float within 0.15 to 0.38: near the top of the band the corners of the stock are visibly lighter;

  • the finish's scale stops at 0.73, so Battle-Scarred is shorter than usual on it;

  • whether the AK-47 | Steel Delta carries stickers or a name tag.

The AK-47 | Steel Delta has no pattern variance: what you see on one listing is what you get on the rest. Choose within 0.15 to 0.38, because the difference between the top and bottom of the band is noticeable.

What the AK-47 | Steel Delta costs in Field-Tested

The other four wears cost more:

  • Factory New costs five times as much;

  • Minimal Wear costs two thirds more;

  • Well-Worn costs a sixth more;

  • Battle-Scarred costs a seventh more.

So Field-Tested turns out to be the cheapest of the finish's five wears. Between the two scuffed wears the difference is a matter of cents and there is no pattern in the order: only the factory wear pulls away.

Among Mil-Spec AK-47 skins, the AK-47 | Steel Delta in this wear is third from the bottom of seven. Only the AK-47 | Wintergreen and the AK-47 | Uncharted cost less. Right above it are the AK-47 | Elite Build and the AK-47 | Crossfade, and the AK-47 | Green Laminate costs about nine times as much.

Getting the AK-47 | Steel Delta

The Anubis Collection is delivered as a set, and the rifle comes out of it. Souvenir copies of the same finish were issued for four Majors: Paris 2023, Copenhagen 2024, Shanghai 2024 and Austin 2025.

To trade up for the AK-47 | Steel Delta, you put in ten skins of the next rank down from the same collection. The Anubis Collection has four Mil-Spec skins, so the chance of landing exactly this finish is one in four.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The AK-47 | Steel Delta was not released in a StatTrak version; a Souvenir version exists.

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Steel Delta

The gray top of the receiver stays a flat field, and a sticker there does not fight the design. On the bronze wood, cool colors read best: white, blue, silver. Warm yellow and orange stickers get lost in the veining. The magazine is not painted at all, so a craft there lands as on bare metal.

Who this wear suits

This wear is worth buying for the AK-47 | Steel Delta if:

  • you want the cheapest way into the finish, since the other four wears cost more;

  • the rifle is for playing in CS2, not for a display case;

  • choosing by float matters to you: within 0.15 to 0.38 the wood looks different.

The gray parts look the same at any float, and all the wear gathers on the wood. That is why at the bottom of the band the finish is hard to tell from Minimal Wear.
