This is the AK-47 | The Oligarch in Field-Tested (FT), where the fabric texture still reads in full. Its float band spans 0.15 to 0.38. It is a Covert skin that comes from the Sealed Genesis Terminal. What sets it apart is that it imitates a material rather than paint: the body looks like a puffer jacket, not painted metal.
What the AK-47 | The Oligarch looks like in Field-Tested
The receiver and handguard are broken into quilted sections, like a down jacket: white stripes alternate with black ones, and the seams are drawn separately. Gold inserts run along the edges and by the magazine. In FT, wear settles on the white sections, which drift toward a grayish tone. The black areas hold longer, and the gold on the corners loses its shine first. The quilting itself stays readable across the whole band: it is relief in the artwork, not paint, and scuffs do not wipe it out.
What to check before buying
A listing of the AK-47 | The Oligarch is judged on two things:
- float: the white sections turn gray most visibly, and that is where the wear reads;
- whether the body already carries a name tag or stickers.
The pattern is not rolled here. The artwork is the same on every copy, so there is nothing to pay extra for in a "rare" one.
Inside 0.15 to 0.38 there are nearly clean copies and clearly worn ones.
What the AK-47 | The Oligarch costs in Field-Tested
By price the wears line up like this:
- Factory New is about five times higher;
- Minimal Wear is about double;
- Well-Worn gives up about a third of the price;
- Battle-Scarred is about one and a half times lower still.
The gap to the clean wear is one of the largest among Covert AK-47s in CS2, and white explains it: gray shows at once. Going down, the saving is modest while the look degrades quickly.
Getting the AK-47 | The Oligarch
The AK-47 | The Oligarch comes from one place only, the Sealed Genesis Terminal. The Genesis Collection appeared in CS2 on September 16, 2025.
The second route is a trade-up contract, which swaps ten Classified skins for one Covert skin. The Oligarch comes out of a contract fed with ten Classified skins of this collection. The AWP | Ice Coaled, MP7 | Smoking Kills or Glock-18 | Mirror Mosaic will do. The set has two Covert skins, so you get either the AK or the M4A4 | Full Throttle, a 50-50 chance.
The trade-up does not go further up the ranks: Covert is the top rank in this collection. The wear of the result follows from what you put in, so building a clean copy by contract is almost impossible, while for FT, mid-worn inputs fit.
StatTrak and Souvenir
StatTrak is available on the AK-47 | The Oligarch. Souvenir copies exist as well, but the finish never got packages of its own, because Souvenir packages covered only the tournament map collections. To get one, run an ordinary skin from your inventory through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which adds gold tournament stickers and a player's autograph.
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | The Oligarch
The black-and-white quilting with gold is a conspicuous base, but calm in color. Gold stickers argue with it, since the body already has gold. Red and blue stickers give contrast and sit well on the white sections. Small logos get lost in the quilting, so people choose large ones. Clean wears, not FT, are what people usually buy for expensive craft.
Who this wear suits
A Field-Tested AK-47 | The Oligarch makes sense when:
- you want a Covert AK for CS2 without paying extra for a perfect float;
- you are building a Terrorist set in black and white with a gold accent;
- you like the fabric texture more than the usual painted metal.
The white sections are already grayish in FT, and in close-up screenshots that shows. In play, from ordinary distance, the difference from Minimal Wear does not read.
