AK-47 | The Outsiders (Battle-Scarred)

The AK-47 | The Outsiders in Battle-Scarred (BS) sits at the bottom of the wear scale and is the cheapest entry to this finish. Float in this wear runs from 0.45 to 0.90. The rank is Classified, and the rifle belongs to The Gallery Collection.

What the AK-47 | The Outsiders looks like in Battle-Scarred

The finish is built on crude drawings: an orange-red base, green blotches, and a yellow school bus on the upper part of the receiver. The rest of the body is filled with small hand-drawn pictures. Valve describes them as crude depictions of terrorists in various situations.

Wear is already heavy in this grade, and the finish's scale is cut off at the top: the float ceiling is 0.90, not 1.00. The band from 0.45 to 0.90 takes exactly half of the finish's scale. It also leaves room to choose, since copies nearer 0.45 are cleaner.

Where the AK-47 | The Outsiders came from

The user m03h proposed the finish on the Steam Workshop: the work was titled "AK-47 | T BUS" and posted on June 17, 2024. The author's caption reads "NOT SHOOL BUS". The Gallery Collection came out on October 2, 2024, and the AK-47 | The Outsiders has been part of it since launch. Valve's catalog number for the finish is 113.

What to check before buying

Before taking an AK-47 | The Outsiders, look at these points:

• the float: at 0.45 to 0.90 this is the longest band among the skin's wears;

• the bus on the receiver, the most recognizable detail of the artwork;

• any name tag or stickers already sitting on this particular rifle.

A lucky pattern cannot be fished out of this finish: there is always only one.

What the AK-47 | The Outsiders costs in Battle-Scarred

The other wears cost more than this one:

• Factory New, about nine times as much;

• Minimal Wear, about 2.3 times as much;

• Field-Tested, about 24 percent more;

• Well-Worn, about 14 percent more.

The factory grade costs almost nine times as much, the largest gap between wears for this skin. Among Classified AK skins in Battle-Scarred, the finish is third from the bottom of fifteen: only AK-47 | Ice Coaled and AK-47 | Searing Rage are cheaper. The nearest one above is AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge.

Getting the AK-47 | The Outsiders

The finish drops from the Gallery Case, and no other case carries it.

The second route to the AK-47 | The Outsiders is a trade-up: ten skins one rank lower from the same set.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The AK-47 | The Outsiders has a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages were ever made for this finish, because packages only covered tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can still be built by hand: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a normal skin from the inventory.

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | The Outsiders

The hand-drawn base is busy, so stickers with a plain outline read better on it than small ones. Crafts of yellow and green stickers echo the colors of the bus, while dark and white ones contrast with the orange.

Who this wear suits

The AK-47 | The Outsiders in Battle-Scarred is a sensible buy when:

• you want an AK of this finish at the lowest price, in CS2;

• wear does not get in the way, and the hand-drawn art reads regardless;

• paying about nine times as much for Factory New is not justified.
