Description

The AK-47 | Wild Lotus in Battle-Scarred (BS) is an emerald AK-47 with painted foliage and large red-and-pink flowers, in the most worn of the five wears. The rank is Covert, and the collection is The St. Marc Collection. Among Covert AK-47s in this wear the skin is first by price. The AK-47 | Wild Lotus can be bought for CS2 in every wear, from Factory New to Battle-Scarred.

What the AK-47 | Wild Lotus looks like in Battle-Scarred

The ground color is emerald, and layers of dark green leaves sit over it. Flowers come in red and rose-crimson, with small red berries sprinkled between them. A peach-beige stripe runs along the bottom of the handguard, around the magazine window and down the grip. The stock is green with a red flower on it. The barrel is dark brown, and the gas tube ring and the trigger are finished in brass.

Almost everything is painted: handguard, receiver, magazine, grip and stock. Only the barrel with the muzzle and the front sight are bare. The focal point is a large red flower at the back of the receiver, with a pale, prickly core.

Battle-Scarred is the widest wear: the float scale for this wear of the AK-47 | Wild Lotus runs from 0.45 to 1.00. Across that stretch the scuffing builds up noticeably. The peach stripe and the thin stems on the magazine spine go first, while the large flower on the flat side panel stays recognizable longest.

Where the AK-47 | Wild Lotus came from

Valve drew the AK-47 | Wild Lotus, and there is no Steam Workshop submission for this finish. In Valve's catalog it is number 724. The St. Marc Collection came out on November 19, 2019, and the AK-47 | Wild Lotus has been part of it since launch. Valve named The St. Marc Collection among the four new weapon collections of Operation Shattered Web.

What to check before buying

What sets one AK-47 | Wild Lotus listing apart from another comes down to these:

  • the float: the band from 0.45 to 1.00 is the longest on the scale, and listings at its two ends differ clearly in scuffing;

  • any name tag and stickers applied, which stay with the listing;

  • the state of the peach stripe along the handguard, since it wears away before the large flowers.

The AK-47 | Wild Lotus does not come in two different artworks: the layout of the flowers is the same on every copy, and only the wear differs.

What the AK-47 | Wild Lotus costs in Battle-Scarred

The other wears, measured against Battle-Scarred:

  • Factory New is priced at three and a half times this wear;

  • Minimal Wear is priced at almost two and a half times this wear;

  • Field-Tested is priced at almost double this wear;

  • Well-Worn is priced about a quarter above this wear.

Among twenty-three Covert AK-47s in Battle-Scarred, the Wild Lotus is first by price. AK-47 | Gold Arabesque is more than four times cheaper, AK-47 | Fire Serpent about eight times, and AK-47 | Vulcan around forty times.

Getting the AK-47 | Wild Lotus

The AK-47 | Wild Lotus does not appear in CS2 cases.

It also comes from a trade-up: the contract takes ten skins from the rank below, all from one collection. The St. Marc Collection has one Classified skin, the MP9 | Wild Lily, and one Covert skin as well, so ten MP9 | Wild Lily skins always yield the Wild Lotus.

StatTrak and Souvenir

StatTrak versions of the AK-47 | Wild Lotus were not issued. Souvenir copies do turn up, but there were no packages for this finish, since those were made only for the tournament map collections. Such copies are produced through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts golden tournament stickers and a player autograph on a regular skin from the inventory.

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Wild Lotus

Large flowers and foliage fill the sides, so stickers have to sit beside colorful artwork. Small light logos and peach tones get along with the green better than red and crimson ones do, which get lost among the flowers. A plain background remains on the stock and at the rear of the receiver.

Who this wear suits

The AK-47 | Wild Lotus in Battle-Scarred makes sense in three cases:

  • you want the priciest Covert AK-47 in CS2 at the lowest price among the skin's wears;

  • the skin is for playing or for a craft, where the details will not be studied;

  • it matters to you that the red flowers on the sides stay readable even at the highest wear.

The Battle-Scarred price sits about a fifth below Well-Worn. In the game itself, the difference between wears is purely visual.
