AK-47 | X-Ray (Battle-Scarred)

The AK-47 | X-Ray in Battle-Scarred (BS) is the most worn and the most affordable of the five versions of this Covert AK-47 from The Havoc Collection. In this wear the AK-47 | X-Ray carries a float of 0.45 to 1.00, which is more than half of the finish's scale. The skin has no StatTrak™ version, and no case either.

What the AK-47 | X-Ray looks like in Battle-Scarred

Valve describes the finish as a custom paint job in which the weapon appears as it would in an X-ray picture. The whole rifle is flooded with an orange-red gradient: the stock is pale and amber, while the handguard and receiver darken to red. The parts look X-rayed. Crosswise stripes run along the magazine, and light outlines come through on the receiver. The finish has no other colors.

In Battle-Scarred the warm fill dulls and metal shows on the edges. This wear of the AK-47 | X-Ray stretches from 0.45 to 1.00, and that is visible on inspection.

No case holds the AK-47 | X-Ray: the finish belongs only to The Havoc Collection.

A trade-up reaches the AK-47 | X-Ray too: ten skins one rank down, from the same collection. Classified skins in Havoc number two, AWP | Silk Tiger and MAC-10 | Hot Snakes, while the Covert skin is just one. So with ten inputs from a single collection, the result is known in advance.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The AK-47 | X-Ray has never come with StatTrak™. There were no souvenir packages for this finish either: they were made only for the map collections tied to tournaments. A souvenir copy can still be built by hand, though. Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player's autograph on an ordinary skin from the inventory, so an occasional souvenir copy turns up even where packages never existed.

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | X-Ray

The fill is warm, so red and orange stickers merge with the body. Light blue, white and black ones stand out at once. The lightest and most even surface is the stock, and a sticker reads best there.

Who this wear suits

Buying the AK-47 | X-Ray in this wear is worth it if:

• you want a bright, warm AK-47 for CS2 with no premium for a clean fill;


• you want a skin that, in this wear, is priced above nearly every Covert AK-47;


• a craft needs a body on which a sticker stands out by color.
