AK-47 | X-Ray (Well-Worn)

The AK-47 | X-Ray in Well-Worn (WW) is a narrow slice of the scale between Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred. The skin was released on December 3, 2020. It is Covert rank, from The Havoc Collection, it does not drop from cases, and it has no StatTrak™ version.

What the AK-47 | X-Ray looks like in Well-Worn

The artwork rests on one idea: the AK is shown like an X-ray image, all in orange-red. The stock is gold-amber, the handguard and receiver are red, and the magazine with its transverse ribs looks see-through. Pale lines on the red mark the outlines of the parts inside the body.

In Well-Worn the scuffs show first on the gold stock and the pale edges. The outlines of the parts on the red stay distinguishable, but the fill is no longer as dense as in Factory New. The band for this wear lies between 0.38 and 0.45, and a listing's condition does not change after the drop.

What to check before buying

What sets one AK-47 | X-Ray listing apart from another:

• float: you can pick an AK-47 | X-Ray here almost blind, since the band of 0.38 to 0.45 is tight and takes 7% of the skin's scale;

• stickers and a name tag that came with the copy from its last owner;

• the look of the stock and the handguard edges in the lot photo, where the pale areas show wear better than the red ones.

There are not two different artworks of the AK-47 | X-Ray.

What the AK-47 | X-Ray costs in Well-Worn

Where this wear sits on the ladder:

• Factory New costs almost 4 times as much;

• Minimal Wear costs 2.3 times as much;

• Field-Tested costs 1.33 times as much;

• Battle-Scarred is 1.26 times cheaper.

The price ladder is even here, with no jumps: each wear down the scale costs less than the one before. By rank the picture is the same, with twenty Covert AK-47s cheaper and three more expensive. Only AK-47 | Fire Serpent stands higher, and noticeably so. Below, the nearest, AK-47 | Vulcan and AK-47 | Bloodsport, trail by three times or more. The cheapest in the rank is AK-47 | Aphrodite.

Getting the AK-47 | X-Ray

The skin has no case: it belongs only to The Havoc Collection. A contract for the AK-47 | X-Ray is built from ten Classified skins, all from one collection. It holds a single Covert skin, so the result is known in advance.

StatTrak and Souvenir

StatTrak™ was not offered on the AK-47 | X-Ray. No souvenir packages were made for this finish either, because tournament map collections were the only ones to get them. Still, anyone can build a souvenir copy: the Souvenir-O-Matic adds golden tournament stickers and a player autograph to a regular skin from the inventory. That explains why single souvenir copies are sometimes found for a skin that never had packages.

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | X-Ray

The background is warm and solid, so red, orange and gold stickers merge into the body. Black, white and light-blue ones stand apart from it. On the golden stock a sticker lies over the pale patches, and on the dark red receiver it stays contrasting.

Who this wear suits

Well-Worn suits the AK-47 | X-Ray if:

• you want a Covert AK for CS2 with visible scuffing but a legible artwork;

• float does not matter, since within 0.38 to 0.45 copies barely differ;

• the skin is going into a set from The Havoc Collection, not chosen as the cleanest paint job.
