Description

Factory New on the AUG | Akihabara Accept is the cleanest the anime collage ever gets. The stretch of scale here is 0.00–0.07. The rank is Covert, the set is The Rising Sun Collection, and no CS2 case has held this rifle. It is the most expensive AUG finish in the game, and Factory New (FN) costs a multiple of the other four grades.

What the AUG | Akihabara Accept looks like in Factory New

Posters cover the body, overlapping across the stock and the side panel. The base is blue-purple with white and pink areas, while the posters themselves run pink, orange and light blue. A girl is printed at the butt plate, with large Japanese characters beside her. The magazine is purple, and grip, handguard, scope and barrel are left gray.

The characters and Latin lettering read in fragments, while the figure's face and hair are clear. In Factory New no poster is dirtied: the pale fields hold their white and the body edges are whole. Lower down the scale the pale fields soil first, then the edges, and the collage begins to look like peeling paper.

Where the AUG | Akihabara Accept came from

Valve drew the finish, and no Steam Workshop submission stands behind it. The Rising Sun Collection entered the game on May 26, 2015. Its catalog number is 455.

In the Operation Bloodhound announcement Valve listed six sets that dropped for pass holders, this collection among them. The same update brought profile ranks, and the pass came with a coin and a mission journal.

What to check before buying

These parameters get read on a listing:

  • the float, since the 0.00–0.07 band is short and the spread inside it is minimal;

  • how clean the pale fields on the posters are, because they soil before anything else;

  • the applied name and stickers, which stay with the rifle.

Every copy carries the same pattern, and the whole grade sits inside 0.00–0.07, so one listing resembles another.

What the AUG | Akihabara Accept costs in Factory New

The price falls at every step down, and the steps are large:

  • Minimal Wear is more than three times cheaper;

  • Field-Tested, seven times;

  • Well-Worn, more than ten times;

  • Battle-Scarred, more than twelve times.

The weapon has only two Covert finishes, and this one is about forty times the price of the AUG | Chameleon. Across the whole model the picture repeats: AUG | Hot Rod and AUG | Midnight Lily come next, roughly eight times below.

Getting the AUG | Akihabara Accept

There is no case. The Rising Sun Collection dropped for operation pass holders as they played.

A contract takes ten skins a rank down from one collection. The set holds a single Covert finish, and a tier below it there is only one option, the AK-47 | Hydroponic, so the outcome of the trade-up is predictable.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The AUG | Akihabara Accept has neither a StatTrak version nor a Souvenir edition.

Stickers and craft on the AUG | Akihabara Accept

The collage takes the stock and side panel whole, leaving one flat spot for a sticker: the gray handguard. A bright sticker beside the posters is lost: competing with pink and orange is hard, and white or black logos work better. Factory New is paid for its untouched look, and a sticker leaves a trace.

Who this wear suits

This grade makes sense for the following jobs:

  • a clean collage with no grime on the pale fields;

  • an early 2015 finish rather than a recent CS2 release;

  • a rifle headed for a showcase instead of matches.

In a match the grades are indistinguishable, since the posters look alike at range. What Factory New buys is clean pale fields and unbroken collage edges.
