In Field-Tested (FT), the AUG | Akihabara Accept sits in the middle of the wear scale. Minimal Wear costs 2.4 times as much, and the gap up to Factory New is almost sevenfold. The skin belongs to The Rising Sun Collection and is Covert rank. For the AUG | Akihabara Accept, this wear means a float band of 0.15–0.38.
What the AUG | Akihabara Accept looks like in Field-Tested
The artwork is a stack of posters pasted over one another, with characters on them. The background is blue-violet, the posters are pink, orange and light blue, and the white margins are pale. Large kanji sit near the buttplate, where a girl is drawn. The magazine is violet, the handguard and grip are gray, and the collage does not reach them.
The wear is stretched from 0.15 to 0.38, and it shows on inspection. Near the low end the white areas are still clean; toward the high end dirt comes through on them. The edges of the body follow suit: there the collage looks peeled off.
Where the AUG | Akihabara Accept came from
No Workshop submission lies behind the AUG | Akihabara Accept; it is Valve's own work. It was released on May 26, 2015, and Valve's catalog lists the finish under number 455.
What to check before buying
Choosing a listing of the AUG | Akihabara Accept comes down to a few things:
- float: where the number falls inside 0.15–0.38 decides how dirty the pale margins are;
- the edges of the body, where the collage lifts first;
- the stickers and name tag this AUG | Akihabara Accept already carries.
The pattern on the AUG | Akihabara Accept repeats from listing to listing without change.
What the AUG | Akihabara Accept costs in Field-Tested
The other wears, measured against this one:
- Factory New costs 6.75 times as much;
- Minimal Wear costs 2.4 times as much;
- Well-Worn costs 1.48 times less;
- Battle-Scarred costs 1.67 times less.
The price climbs sharply going up and eases more gradually going down. Of the two Covert AUG skins, this one costs roughly six times as much as the AUG | Chameleon.
Getting the AUG | Akihabara Accept
No CS2 case contains the AUG | Akihabara Accept. It can be built by trade-up: ten skins one rank down from the collection go in, and The Rising Sun Collection has just one such skin, AK-47 | Hydroponic.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The AUG | Akihabara Accept has no StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages ever carried this skin, though a normal copy can be turned into a souvenir through the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the AUG | Akihabara Accept
For a Field-Tested build, the gray handguard and grip are the suitable places: the posters do not touch them. On the collage a sticker competes with pink and orange, so large black-and-white ones are the pick. Small colored ones vanish among the kanji.
Who this wear suits
Buying the AUG | Akihabara Accept in Field-Tested is reasonable when:
- you want the anime collage without paying extra for Minimal Wear, which costs 2.4 times as much;
- you choose by float and want the pale margins to stay relatively clean;
- you want a Covert AUG for CS2 at a price below the top wears.
For untouched posters, look at Factory New, but it costs almost seven times as much.
