Description

Field-Tested (FT) on the AUG | Trigger Discipline is the cheapest of the five wears, and the digital pattern on it still reads in full. The wear is bounded by floats of 0.15 and 0.38. It is a Mil-Spec skin; the rifle came to CS2 with The Genesis Collection and drops from the terminal. The Genesis Collection opened in the game on September 16, 2025.

What the AUG | Trigger Discipline looks like in Field-Tested

The base is white and light gray, with a fine digital pattern. Pixels gather into stripes that cover the body and the stock, and toward the bottom they turn into an even gray. Orange accents are placed sparingly: a ring at the muzzle, an insert by the sight, the bottom of the magazine and a button on the stock. The grips are gray, the sight and barrel are dark, and technical inscriptions are scattered across the body.

The white base gets dirty first: the edge of the receiver and the cheek of the stock turn gray, and the orange inserts fade after them. At the lower end of the wear the digital pattern is intact almost everywhere, while nearer 0.38 the pixel stripes on the corners of the body are already eaten away. The orange ring at the muzzle stays noticeable in any case; not even the top of the band wipes it out.

Where the AUG | Trigger Discipline came from

The finish was drawn by a Steam Workshop artist who goes by moonfighter. In Valve's catalog it is number 1339. In its update notes, Valve presented Genesis as a set of seventeen works by community artists, available through a terminal.

What to check before buying

The differences between copies of the AUG | Trigger Discipline come down to this:

  • the float within 0.15 to 0.38: at 0.15 the white body is almost even, while at 0.38 the gray bald spots show in the preview;

  • the state of the orange inserts, which fade before the base turns gray;

  • stickers and an applied name tag, which stay with the listing on the AUG | Trigger Discipline.

The artwork on the AUG | Trigger Discipline is applied identically across the whole run. In this wear the band is 0.15 to 0.38, where you find both nearly clean bodies and noticeably worn ones.

What the AUG | Trigger Discipline costs in Field-Tested

The other four wears cost more than this one:

  • Factory New costs about five and a half times more;

  • Minimal Wear costs about three quarters more;

  • Well-Worn costs about one and a half times more;

  • Battle-Scarred costs about one and a half times more.

Field-Tested comes out cheapest here even though the two more worn wears ask more. The gap between them is tiny, and this order should not be treated as a rule.

Among Mil-Spec AUG skins this is the cheapest finish in Field-Tested: only AUG | Creep costs the same. AUG | Signal Scanner, AUG | Ricochet and AUG | Triqua cost about two and a half times more. The top of the rank, AUG | Copperhead, costs hundreds of times more.

Getting the AUG | Trigger Discipline

There is one source: the Sealed Genesis Terminal.

The AUG | Trigger Discipline cannot be built by contract, because in The Genesis Collection Mil-Spec is the lowest rank. The finish does go in as a contract input, however, and items one rank higher come up from the set, such as M4A1-S | Liquidation, UMP-45 | Continuum and others.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the AUG | Trigger Discipline

The AUG | Trigger Discipline has a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages were released for this finish, since those were made only for tournament map collections. But you can assemble a Souvenir copy yourself: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from the inventory. That is why a few Souvenir copies turn up from time to time even where there never were any packages.

The white panels of the body give an even light field for stickers: both dark and colored logos read on it. The orange accents set the palette, so warm stickers settle into the finish more naturally than cool ones. On worn patches part of a craft goes away with the paint, and in Field-Tested that is already noticeable.

Who this wear suits

Field-Tested is worth buying on the AUG | Trigger Discipline when:

  • the rifle is going into CS2 matches, not into a display;

  • you want a digital pattern that reads even on a worn body;

  • you want to choose by number: within the band, copies differ to the eye.

A clean white body is out of reach in this wear: toward the upper bound, gray areas take over the corners and edges. An untouched base is something you pay extra for already in Minimal Wear.
