AWP | Acheron (Minimal Wear)

The AWP | Acheron in Minimal Wear (MW) is a Mil-Spec AWP from The 2018 Nuke Collection. The wear gets the float band from 0.07 to 0.15, and the pattern of the skin is a lottery: copies differ in where the scraps lie.

What the AWP | Acheron looks like in Minimal Wear

The rifle looks like a collage of ripped poster scraps. Fragments of paper in scarlet, white and cream are stuck over a steel-gray base, with blue and ochre inserts. A separate blue plate sits at the muzzle.

The scraps are thickest on the receiver and stock and thin out toward the handguard, while the barrel stayed dark. There is no single story, and the fragments overlap on purpose. Bits of letters and printed marks show on the paper, but they cannot be read.

The paper edges are lifted and frayed. On Minimal Wear copies the rubbing starts at the corners of scraps on raised edges, where the paper seems to peel off and bare metal comes through.

Valve drew the AWP | Acheron, and there is no Steam Workshop submission for this finish. The skin appeared in September 2018 and is listed in Valve's catalog under number 788.

Stickers and craft on the AWP | Acheron

The motley scraps get in the way of stickers: single-color ones get lost on the red and white fragments. The handguard, where there is less paper, and the patch of gray metal by the receiver look cleanest. The dark barrel suits light stickers in CS2.
