AWP | CMYK (Battle-Scarred)

Battle-Scarred (BS) is the cheapest of the five wears of the AWP | CMYK: Factory New costs 7.5 times as much. The rifle is a Covert AWP of The Graphic Design Collection, and the wear's band runs from 0.45 to 0.80.

What the AWP | CMYK looks like in Battle-Scarred

CMYK is the name of a printing color model: cyan, magenta, yellow and black. In Valve's wording the artwork is an abstract, multicolor pattern laid over a white ground. Here the base is cream-white: the receiver and the stock. The color is pushed out to the edges, with a magenta wedge by the rail and patches of tiny lime-green and turquoise dots by the thumb hole.

The scope tube is magenta, with turquoise and yellow-green rings. The barrel shifts from golden to pink at the muzzle. In this wear the band runs from 0.45 to 0.80, and copies from the two ends of it look different. The band takes about forty-four percent of the scale, since the skin's float ceiling is 0.80.

Where the AWP | CMYK came from

The Graphic Design Collection appeared in October 2024, and the AWP | CMYK was in it from day one.

What to check before buying

Before you pick a listing, line up these points:

• float: between 0.45 and 0.80, wear touches the magenta and lime areas differently;


• the condition of the white base on the stock and receiver;


• a name tag and stickers, if they are already on this AWP | CMYK.

The artwork on the AWP | CMYK is the same on every copy, so there is no particular one to look for.

What the AWP | CMYK costs in Battle-Scarred

The other wears cost more:

The two middle wears cost almost the same. Of the eighteen Covert AWPs in this wear, the skin costs about the same as AWP | Asiimov and a little more than AWP | Sovereign Flame. AWP | Containment Breach, AWP | Neo-Noir and AWP | Printstream are cheaper by about half. At the top stand AWP | The Prince, AWP | Dragon Lore and AWP | Gungnir, tens of times as expensive.

Getting the AWP | CMYK

No CS2 case contains the AWP | CMYK, because its collection was released on its own. Another source of the skin is a trade-up contract of ten skins one rank lower from the same collection. The collection has two Classified skins, AUG | Lil' Pig and Desert Eagle | Starcade, and one Covert skin.

StatTrak and Souvenir

There is no StatTrak version of the AWP | CMYK. No Souvenir packages were released with this skin, but an ordinary copy can be made into a Souvenir through the Souvenir-O-Matic.

Stickers and craft on the AWP | CMYK

The color sits at the edges while the middle of the stock is white, and a sticker reads cleanest there. On the magenta wedge and the dotted patches a sticker competes with the pattern. For a craft, take dark and high-contrast stickers, since pastel ones vanish on white.

Who this wear suits

Buying the AWP | CMYK in Battle-Scarred makes sense for these jobs:

• you want the Covert AWP of this collection at the lowest price among the skin's wears;


• you choose float by the number, not by the label;


• you take the skin for its colorful abstract artwork, not for a clean base.

Well-Worn and Field-Tested cost about 1.6 times as much. In CS2 the difference between them shows only on inspection.
