In Minimal Wear the AWP | Dragon Lore keeps nearly all its gilding on the raised edges, which separates it from rubbed listings. The wear band here is 0.07 to 0.15. The rank is Covert. Ordinary cases never held it: the finish arrived only in Souvenir packages of the Cobblestone map.
What the AWP | Dragon Lore looks like in Minimal Wear
An olive-green body carries a gold ornament. A bright orange dragon sits on the left side of the receiver, outlined by a yellow glow. Diamond-shaped scales in orange and gold cover the barrel, giving way to dark gray metal near the muzzle. The stock is olive with gold plating and a pale beige panel; the bipod and scope top read olive-gold.
Everything is painted except the barrel's front face and the scope mount. The dragon is fully legible: head, open jaw, body coils. No lettering or numerals appear, and the beige panel carries only a faint ornament.
The gilding goes from the raised edges first: receiver top, handguard lip, butt plate, barrel rings. In this condition they are barely touched, and the scaling stays legible down the barrel. The dragon lies on a flat face and loses nothing here. Between 0.07 and 0.15 there is little room: the extremes differ by the number alone.
Where the AWP | Dragon Lore came from
The Cobblestone collection joined the game on July 1, 2014, and this finish took the set's only Covert slot. No outside artist stands behind it: the work was done inside Valve, with no Steam Workshop entry. Valve's catalog files it at 344, where the AWP | Gungnir, five years younger, sits at 756.
What to check before buying
Choosing one copy over another comes down to:
- the version, since the plain and Souvenir editions are separate items;
- A name tag and any stickers the rifle already carries;
- the float, as pale metal surfaces on the receiver top closer to 0.15.
Pattern plays no part here, since every copy is laid out identically.
What the AWP | Dragon Lore costs in Minimal Wear
The other conditions, measured against this one:
- Factory New runs about a quarter higher;
- Field-Tested about a third lower;
- Battle-Scarred roughly one and a half times lower.
By this rifle's standards the step to Factory New is modest: it buys whole barrel rings and an untouched receiver top.
Among Covert AWPs this listing ranks second of twenty. Only the AWP | Gungnir stands higher, by about a fifth. Medusa is three times cheaper, The Prince four times, Desert Hydra some eight times.
Getting the AWP | Dragon Lore
Souvenir packages from Cobblestone went to tournament viewers, starting with ESL One Cologne 2014.
The second road is a contract on ten skins one rank below from the same collection — ten copies of the M4A1-S | Knight.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The AWP | Dragon Lore has no StatTrak version; a Souvenir edition does exist.
Stickers and craft on the AWP | Dragon Lore
The artwork owns the body, so nearly any sticker argues with the dragon. On Souvenir copies the autographs and team logos were applied at issue and stay part of the item. On a plain copy the one even field for a craft is the stock, by the beige panel.
Who this wear suits
Buy the AWP | Dragon Lore in Minimal Wear for these reasons:
- the gilding on the edges is all but intact, without the Factory New price;
- the diamond scaling on the barrel reads from end to end;
- the rifle goes into a CS2 collection where condition counts.
The gap to Field-Tested shows up close, on the receiver edges and barrel rings. A CS2 match will not show it, so the premium here is a collector's.
