AWP | Duality (Well-Worn)

Well-Worn (WW) is the next-to-last of the five versions of the AWP | Duality, a crimson-painted AWP with pronounced wear. Its float runs from 0.38 to 0.45, which is 9% of the skin's scale, and that scale reaches 0.80. The rank is Classified, and the skin drops from the Revolution Case; all five wears exist.

What the AWP | Duality looks like in Well-Worn

The paint covers the receiver, the area around the magazine well and the stock. It is a dusty crimson with raspberry patches and an olive-brown fringe, with pale swirls and a medallion with a dark ring laid over it. The barrel, scope and bipod are bare, dark and unpainted.

In Well-Worn the fill is clearly scuffed, and the light swirls lose their continuity at the edges. The center of the side, with the medallion, holds up better than the margins.

Where the AWP | Duality came from

Madara posted the submission "AWP Duality (CS2 Updated)" to the Steam Workshop on August 21, 2021. In the description the author wrote that he had worked on the wear as well. By his idea the artwork changes with the level of wear, and that is meant to make Factory New especially valuable. The skin came out in the game on February 9, 2023, and its number in the catalog is 1222.

What to check before buying

Before taking an AWP | Duality, look at these points:

• the float: the band from 0.38 to 0.45 is tight, and the difference between listings is barely visible;

• stickers and a name tag already on this copy of the AWP | Duality.

All copies of the AWP | Duality carry the same pattern. Within 0.38 to 0.45 the outermost listings differ only by the number.

What the AWP | Duality costs in Well-Worn

On this skin the price climbs from Battle-Scarred, though not evenly. Field-Tested is a few percent dearer than Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred a few percent cheaper. Minimal Wear costs half as much again as Well-Worn, and Factory New about three times as much.

Among Classified AWPs at this wear the AWP | Duality is the cheapest, with AWP | Mortis almost level. AWP | Ice Coaled costs one and a half times as much, and AWP | Green Energy twice as much. AWP | The End and AWP | Elite Build cost almost three times as much.

Getting the AWP | Duality

The main source is the Revolution Case. For a contract to hand over an AWP | Duality, it takes ten skins of the rank below. If they are from the Revolution Collection, which has three Classified skins, the odds of getting this AWP are one in three.

StatTrak and Souvenir

There is a StatTrak version of the AWP | Duality. Souvenir copies turn up too, even though the finish never had Souvenir packages: those were made for tournament map collections alone. To get one, you run an ordinary skin through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which applies gold tournament stickers and a player autograph.

Stickers and craft on the AWP | Duality

A scuffed crimson base fights with small stickers. Stickers with a dense silhouette, white and dark ones, stay readable, while red and gold ones get lost in the fill.

Who this wear suits

The AWP | Duality in this wear is worth buying if:

• you want a rifle with visible wear, without the Minimal Wear price, which is half as much again;

• you need the artwork recognizable as a whole, even though the paint is scuffed;

• you do not need to select by float, since there is almost no difference between listings.

Battle-Scarred is a fifth cheaper, and Field-Tested a few percent cheaper and cleaner.
