AWP | Exothermic (Factory New)

The AWP | Exothermic in Factory New (FN) is a red flash without a single scuff. The float scale for this wear is 0.00 to 0.07, and the skin's own ceiling is 0.70. It is a Restricted skin from the Harlequin Collection, and the set has no cases.

What the AWP | Exothermic looks like in Factory New

One red covers the body: receiver, stock, grip and scope tube, with a texture of small light strokes over it that looks like fibers. The barrel, bipod and top rail are left as bare dark metal, with no paint on them at all. There are no shapes or lettering on the body, and the flame the name promises is nowhere in the pattern. In FN the red field is even across every surface and the strokes read right to the end. No metal shows anywhere, not even on the receiver edges or the ridge of the butt plate.

What to check before buying

Two parameters matter on the AWP | Exothermic:

• the float: near the top of the band, closer to 0.07, the edges of the rays begin to lose their sharpness;


• any name tag and stickers on the listing.

The pattern differs between copies: the pattern index shifts the film across the body, so the ragged rays do not land the same way twice. The sources name no rare variants of this finish and no premium for them, so it is enough to look at the picture of the listing.

The band of 0.00 to 0.07 is tight, so there is no reason to pay extra for a float nearer the bottom.

What the AWP | Exothermic costs in Factory New

How the other wears of the AWP | Exothermic compare on price:

• Minimal Wear (MW) costs about half as much;


• Field-Tested (FT) is about three and a half times cheaper;


• Well-Worn is about three times cheaper, which makes it dearer than FT;


• Battle-Scarred costs about a quarter as much.

A gap like this is typical of color skins with no artwork: buyers pay for sharp edges and an even base. Well-Worn costs more than the cleaner FT because it occupies only 0.38 to 0.45, against almost a third of the scale for FT.

Getting the AWP | Exothermic

The AWP | Exothermic has never come from a case. The Harlequin Collection is given out as a reward for hours played. The collection was released on January 21, 2026.

A trade-up contract can also produce it. You need ten Mil-Spec skins from the set: the Five-SeveN | Fraise Crane, or the set's UMP-45 or Galil AR skins. The result is one of the set's two Restricted finishes. The other is the USP-S | Sleeping Potion, so the chance of landing the AWP is one in two.

For Factory New this route is nearly shut. The wear of the result is computed from the inputs, and hitting a hundredth of the scale by a random trade is extremely hard. The Exothermic itself, meanwhile, goes into the inputs for a contract for the M4A1-S | Party Animal, the set's only Classified skin, which a trade-up is guaranteed to return.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The AWP | Exothermic has no StatTrak version. Souvenir copies do exist, but no Souvenir packages were issued for this finish: they were made only for the tournament map collections. Such copies are built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which applies gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to an ordinary skin from your inventory.

Stickers and craft on the AWP | Exothermic

A red pattern on a dark base is a contrasting foundation, and stickers read differently on it. White and yellow hold best, while red ones merge into the rays. Stickers go on the stock, where the pattern is thinner. A clean Factory New copy is what people usually buy for a build: the edges of the rays don't argue with the borders of the stickers.

Who this wear suits

Buying the AWP | Exothermic in Factory New makes sense when:

• you want sharp pattern edges rather than blurred ones;


• you are preparing a base for a tidy craft in CS2;


• you are putting together a red-and-black set for CS2.

The drawback is plain: in a match you cannot tell FN from MW, and you pay twice as much. For playing, a lower wear is the wiser pick.
