What the AWP | Fever Dream looks like in Minimal Wear

The finish sits on a dark base scattered with graffiti-like drawings in pink, blue and purple. A bright pink stripe runs along the top of the receiver, while on the receiver and stock the drawings are packed tightly against each other. The barrel is dark, and the color is gathered mostly on the receiver and stock.

In Minimal Wear the artwork reads in full: the receiver edges and the stock rim are lightly scuffed, while the pink and blue stay saturated. The band from 0.07 to 0.15 on the AWP | Fever Dream is tight, and lots at its two ends differ only in the number.

The finish was drawn by apel8. He uploaded it to the Steam Workshop on January 22, 2016 under the title “AWP | Fever Dream (Psychopath)”. The author limited the description to a single question: “Are you still getting by?”

The AWP | Fever Dream appeared on March 15, 2017, when the Spectrum Collection was added to the game. In the Valve catalog it is number 640.

The AWP | Fever Dream has a StatTrak version. No souvenir packages were issued for this finish, but you can build a souvenir copy yourself: the Souvenir-O-Matic applies gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to an ordinary skin.

The base is dark and the color sits in pink, blue and purple. Stickers in those tones continue the finish, while white and yellow ones read as an accent. The front of the rifle is dark and free for small stickers.

The artwork on the receiver and stock is dense, and small stickers with thin lines get lost on it. For a craft, large stickers with a solid silhouette work better.

Who this wear suits

Buying the AWP | Fever Dream in this wear makes sense if:

• you want a bright pink-and-blue finish with clean artwork and no visible scuffs;


• you do not want to overpay for Factory New, and scuffs on the edges do not bother you;


• the AWP is going into CS2 matches, and you need a finish that does not blend into the map.

If the cleanliness of the artwork matters more, Factory New costs about a fifth more, which is a small gap.
