In Field-Tested (FT) the AWP | Green Energy still reads whole. The emerald splashes and the yellow line across the receiver are all there, and the metallic paint keeps some of its shine. The band for this grade runs from 0.15 to 0.38, against a ceiling of 0.75 on the skin's own scale. The rank is Classified, and the set is The Boreal Collection, which holds a single Classified finish.
What the AWP | Green Energy looks like in Field-Tested
Paint covers almost the whole rifle, barrel and muzzle included; only the bipod, the bolt and the magazine are left bare gray. Barrel, scope body, stock and grip are a solid dark green, and a green ring sits on the scope eyepiece.
The graphics all gather on the side of the receiver, where green runs a gradient from turquoise into bright emerald. White-outlined splashes and droplets lie over it, and one thin pale yellow line crosses the panel horizontally. No lettering, numbers or logos appear on the body.
The yellow line parts first, being a narrow stripe across the full width of the panel. The edges of the receiver and the stock go light next, and the green rubs off along the top of the round barrel. The emerald field lasts longest, so here the art stays put and the scuffing collects at the borders.
Where the AWP | Green Energy came from
This finish did not come through the Workshop: Valve drew it in house, and no community submission stands behind it. The pattern is number 1280 in Valve's catalog, and The Boreal Collection opened in game on March 31, 2025.
The announcement for that update put three sets into the weekly drops at once: Ascent, Boreal and Radiant. More than seventy finishes came with them, and this AWP is the only Classified one among them.
What to check before buying
Picking a listing comes down to:
- float, which on a metallic shows in how much shine is left on the raised parts;
- whether the yellow line on the receiver panel is whole, since it goes before the rest of the art;
- the name tag and the stickers a copy already carries.
The art repeats from listing to listing without variation.
The stretch from 0.15 to 0.38 is long, and a rifle near the bottom of it keeps far more gloss than one near the top.
What the AWP | Green Energy costs in Field-Tested
The neighboring grades sit far apart:
- Factory New asks about four and a half times more;
- Minimal Wear roughly double;
- Well-Worn comes to nearly the same money, though it looks worse;
- Battle-Scarred is cheaper by about half.
Among Classified AWPs this is the third cheapest of thirteen, with only AWP | Duality and AWP | Mortis below it. AWP | Ice Coaled sits level. AWP | The End and AWP | Elite Build want half again as much, and AWP | Silk Tiger runs twenty times higher and more.
Getting the AWP | Green Energy
No case carries this rifle: the set was never packed into one, so in game the finish arrives through the weekly drops earned by playing.
The route that skips buying is a contract: ten skins one rank below from the same set, with this AWP as the output. The rung underneath holds only two finishes, Glock-18 | Glockingbird and M4A4 | Sheet Lightning. With a single Classified skin in the collection there is no lottery at the end, and the output wear is counted from the inputs.
StatTrak and Souvenir
Stickers and craft on the AWP | Green Energy
No StatTrak version of the AWP | Green Energy was ever released. Souvenir copies do turn up, but no Souvenir packages were made for this finish: packages only ever covered tournament map collections. Those copies are built with the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a normal skin from the inventory.
Green metallic makes a bright background, but an even one, and stickers read clearly against it. White and black hold their shape best, yellow picks up the line on the receiver, green disappears into the paint. The stock and the flat by the magazine are open; the splash panel is usually left uncovered.
Who this wear suits
Buying the AWP | Green Energy here makes sense if:
- a bright green AWP for everyday CS2 is the goal, with no premium paid for clean edges;
- the metallic still has to catch light rather than look matte;
- a green and yellow loadout is being put together for CS2.
Rubbing shows more plainly on a metallic than on a graphic finish, but here it gathers on the rims and the barrel. The splash panel comes through this grade intact.
