For the AWP | Hyper Beast, Well-Worn (WW) is the second to last wear on the scale. The float stretch that describes it is 0.38 to 0.45. It is a Covert skin of the Falchion Collection and drops from that collection's case.
What the AWP | Hyper Beast looks like in Well-Worn
The barrel with its muzzle brake, the scope and the bipod are dark gray-steel metal. The front of the receiver is bare as well, and after it comes a gray-black blotch with the outline of an animal's muzzle. The whole stock is in color: magenta, crimson, acid green, turquoise and orange. The scope has a red ring.
In Well-Worn the wear can be made out on both the dark part and the colored one. The multicolor stock hides scuffs better than the smooth metal in front, and gray streaks on the receiver edges are visible at first glance. The 0.38 to 0.45 stretch takes only 7% of the finish's float scale.
Where the AWP | Hyper Beast came from
The submission was titled "AWP | Hyper Beast" and appeared in the Steam Workshop on January 14, 2015. A user named Rene published it, while the data lists frontaLOBE as the author. The description says the artwork is by Brock Hofer.
The game gained the Falchion Collection on May 26, 2015. In its note on the case, Valve mentioned sixteen community finishes and the Falchion Knife.
What to check before buying
When picking an AWP | Hyper Beast lot, this is what counts:
- float between 0.38 and 0.45: the difference shows only on the receiver edges;
- stickers and a name tag the rifle received from the previous owner.
No "rare" pattern of the AWP | Hyper Beast can be bought: the artwork is the same on every copy. Inside 0.38 to 0.45 the look does not shift.
What the AWP | Hyper Beast costs in Well-Worn
Measured from Well-Worn, the other wears cost this much:
- Factory New is almost four times more;
- Minimal Wear is about one and a half times more;
- Field-Tested is about 8% more;
- Battle-Scarred costs the same.
The difference among the three lower wears is small. Higher up, the price climbs noticeably.
In this wear the skin is nearly the cheapest of the Covert AWP skins: only the AWP | Chrome Cannon is lower. Above it come the AWP | Chromatic Aberration, AWP | LongDog and AWP | Neo-Noir, dearer by 9 to 20%. The AWP | Desert Hydra costs more than thirty times as much, and the AWP | Gungnir two hundred and sixty times.
Getting the AWP | Hyper Beast
Ten skins one step down from this collection give one AWP | Hyper Beast. The inputs are CZ75-Auto | Yellow Jacket, MP7 | Nemesis and SG 553 | Cyrex. The set has two Covert skins, so the chance of getting this one is one in two.
The Falchion Case is a separate route: the finish has no other case.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The AWP | Hyper Beast does have a StatTrak version. No souvenir packages were released for this finish, since those were made only for the tournament map collections. Even so, you can put a souvenir copy together yourself: the Souvenir-O-Matic fits gold tournament stickers and a player autograph onto an ordinary skin in the inventory.
Stickers and craft on the AWP | Hyper Beast
On this rifle, stickers suit the gray-black zone in the middle of the receiver and the area by the bipod. White and yellow ones show up crisply there. Nothing goes on the stock, because any sticker sinks into the paint. Black stickers disappear on the dark metal.
Who this wear suits
Well-Worn is the place to buy the AWP | Hyper Beast if one of these fits:
- you want a Covert AWP for CS2 with a bright rear half for not much money;
- in your CS2 collection wear does not matter: on the colorful stock scuffs are less noticeable;
- you want a price close to Battle-Scarred, but with a float below 0.45.
The narrow band spares you from choosing by float: the price and the stickers on the lot decide.
