This is the AWP | LongDog in Factory New (FN), and the white coating has no chips yet. On a light rifle the clean wear counts for more than on a dark one: a scuff on white shows at once. On this wear the float runs from 0.00 to 0.07. Covert rank; the AWP is part of The Train 2025 Collection.
What the AWP | LongDog looks like in Factory New
The base is white with a cream tint and a fine black-gray speckle across the whole surface. The barrel along its full length, the side of the receiver and the stock are painted white. Red marks only the small protruding parts. These are the ring at the muzzle, the front scope ring, the bipod tips, the bottom of the magazine well, the edge of the butt pad and the cheek rest. The scope is black, and the barrel metal under the paint is dark.
You have to look for the dog in this paint. Valve carries the LongDog graffiti over from the Train map, but on the body it is a single careless red scribble. It sits on the side of the stock, near the butt. The elongated figure looks like both an animal and a hand-drawn flourish, and it cannot be made out as a particular animal. There is no other lettering or numbers on the weapon, so from a distance the skin reads as white with a dark speckle and red accents.
Factory New keeps the vulnerable spots intact. The white coating on the long round barrel and the red trim on the protrusions are the first to rub off. The contrast of white against dark metal makes every chip noticeable. The red scribble lies on a flat of the stock and suffers last.
Where the AWP | LongDog came from
The paint was drawn by Valve itself, with no Steam Workshop submission. The Train 2025 Collection was added to the game on March 31, 2025: the post for that update lists it in a single line, without going through the contents. In the skin catalog the item is number 1213.
What to check before buying
Here is what is worth checking before you buy:
- The float, or more precisely the state of the white coating on the barrel, which gives way before anything else;
- The red trim on the muzzle ring, the bipod tips and the butt pad;
- Any stickers that come with the copy, and the name tag.
The pattern is the same on every copy, so there is no particular one to look for. The distance from 0.00 to 0.07 is small, and choosing by the number is almost pointless.
What the AWP | LongDog costs in Factory New
The step down from Factory New is expensive. Minimal Wear is about three and a half times cheaper, Field-Tested about eight times. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred are level with each other and about fourteen times cheaper.
This model has almost two dozen Covert skins, and the AWP | LongDog sits exactly in the middle: ten are cheaper, eight are dearer. AWP | Lightning Strike and AWP | Sovereign Flame sit right alongside, with one more skin a little above. At the bottom of the rank is AWP | Neo-Noir, while AWP | Medusa, AWP | Dragon Lore and AWP | Gungnir cost tens of times more.
Getting the AWP | LongDog
The Austin 2025 Train package handed out Souvenir copies; there are no ordinary cases with this paint. The second road to the AWP | LongDog is a contract of ten skins one rank down from the same collection. The Train 2025 set has one Covert skin, so the result of the trade-up is known in advance.
StatTrak and Souvenir
There is no StatTrak version of the AWP | LongDog; a Souvenir release does exist.
Stickers and craft on the AWP | LongDog
The light base accepts almost any color: both dark and bright stickers read on white, and only white and cream ones get lost. Red stickers pick up the accents on the protrusions and look like part of the paint. Room for a craft remains on the side of the receiver, while the stock with the scribble is usually left uncovered.
Who this wear suits
Buying the AWP | LongDog in Factory New is worth it for three things:
- you want the white coating even, with no light chips on the barrel;
- the skin is for a collection, not for every CS2 match;
- the red trim on the bipod and butt pad has to be intact.
For playing CS2 the extra cost is debatable: at range the speckle and the scribble look the same in any wear. The difference shows up in close inspection and in the inventory.
