The AWP | Pit Viper in Battle-Scarred (BS) has a float of 0.45 to 0.50, a band cut off at the top because the skin's ceiling is 0.50. It is a Restricted skin from The Italy Collection, with no ordinary case behind it. For CS2 this is an AWP in green snakeskin hydrographics.
What the AWP | Pit Viper looks like in Battle-Scarred
The receiver, stock, grip and bipod legs are bright green, covered with a dense mesh of small dark green speckles. The lime-yellow is gathered into three accents: a block at the upper rear of the stock, spots on the grip and the bipod tips. The barrel, flash hider, scope and magazine are black-gray and carry no pattern, and the cheek and butt pad are dark rubber. Valve calls the finish hydrographics with a snakeskin pattern.
The fine scales are a thin printed pattern. On heavily worn copies the ribs of the receiver, the rim of the cheek piece, the corners near the magazine window and the lime bipod tips pale first. The pattern holds longer on the flat sides, and the black barrel and scope show no wear.
Where the AWP | Pit Viper came from
The AWP | Pit Viper has no Workshop submission: the finish was drawn inside Valve. It is number 251 in Valve's catalog and appeared in November 2013, when The Italy Collection was added to the game.
What to check before buying
Copies of the AWP | Pit Viper differ in these ways:
- float: the 0.45 to 0.50 band is narrow, and copies look alike in condition;
- where the scales fall on the receiver and stock, which varies between listings;
- stickers and a name tag that came with the AWP from a previous owner.
Pattern variance on the AWP | Pit Viper
Does the artwork vary? For this skin csgoskins answers "Pattern Variants: Yes". The hydrographic film is applied with an offset, so copies differ in where the artwork sits. The source names no rare variants, so compare listings by screenshot, not by name.
What the AWP | Pit Viper costs in Battle-Scarred
The wears are packed tightly: Minimal Wear is dearer by 1.38 times and Well-Worn by four percent, and Field-Tested is cheaper by the same amount.
Among the seven Restricted skins on the AWP in this wear, the AWP | Pit Viper is the cheapest. Its nearest neighbor, PAW, costs two and a half times as much, while Exoskeleton and Atheris cost four and a half times and almost four.
Getting the AWP | Pit Viper
The skin has no ordinary cases. Copies come from tournament souvenir packages: DreamHack 2013 (the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package) and EMS One 2014. A contract is available too: ten Mil-Spec skins go in, and the collection of the result is set by one of the inputs. Ten skins from The Italy Collection steer the result there.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The AWP | Pit Viper has no StatTrak version; Souvenir packages for the finish do exist.
Stickers and craft on the AWP | Pit Viper
The pattern is small, so stickers in CS2 stand out against it: light and lime ones look good, continuing the accents on the stock. The black barrel stays a neutral background.
Who this wear suits
This wear is worth buying if:
- you want a Restricted AWP at the lowest price among the rest of the rank's skins;
- the green scales matter more than the condition of the paint;
- you need the 0.50 float ceiling for a build in one row.
