AWP | Printstream (Battle-Scarred)

The AWP | Printstream in Battle-Scarred (BS) covers the longest stretch of the finish's scale, the part where the white paint is already gray at the edges. This wear runs from 0.45 to 1.00, so the band takes more than half of the whole scale. Covert rank; the rifle drops from the Fever Case.

What the AWP | Printstream looks like in Battle-Scarred

The finish is two-tone: a white rifle with a black grip, butt plate and stock panels. The graphics are made of thin lines, barcode-like blocks and a row of large crosses on the side of the receiver. The barrel and scope are silver, and a thin rainbow glint shows on the scope turret.

In Battle-Scarred the white grays and yellows at the receiver edges, by the scope mount and on the cheek rest, and the thin lines break off in places. The large crosses sit on the flat side and outlast the small detail. Black parts hide wear, which is why the contrast between the two colors survives.

Where the AWP | Printstream came from

The finish is by JTPNZ of the Steam Workshop, the same artist who drew the M4A1-S, Desert Eagle and USP-S of the Printstream series. He posted the AWP submission on June 9, 2024 and styled it as a system log. It has a BIOS reboot, a password prompt and the line HANDLE W/ CARE, meaning "handle carefully".

The Fever Collection came out on March 31, 2025, and this skin has been part of it since release. Valve's finish catalog lists it under 1206.

What to check before buying

On an AWP | Printstream listing, these are the parameters to inspect:

• the float, which shows how gray the receiver edges have turned;


• the state of the white by the scope mount and on the cheek rest;


• stickers and a name tag that may already sit on this copy.

Choosing by pattern is simply not an option on the AWP | Printstream. Between 0.45 and 1.00 there is a difference large enough to justify comparing several listings.

What the AWP | Printstream costs in Battle-Scarred

The other wears, set against this one:

• Factory New is priced at nearly four times this wear;


• Minimal Wear is dearer by one and a half times;


• Field-Tested is dearer by about a tenth;


• Well-Worn is cheaper by a few percent.

No more than a sixth of the price separates the three lower wears, and the order within the trio decides nothing. Battle-Scarred does come out slightly dearer than Well-Worn.

In this wear the finish is eighth from the bottom among seventeen Covert AWPs: seven are cheaper and nine dearer. AWP | Containment Breach sits right above it. Below stand AWP | Neo-Noir, AWP | Queen's Gambit and AWP | Wildfire, each cheaper by an eighth or less. The top of the row belongs to AWP | The Prince, AWP | Dragon Lore and AWP | Gungnir.

Getting the AWP | Printstream

The AWP | Printstream drops from the Fever Case, and no other case carries this finish.

The alternative to buying is a trade-up: ten skins one rank down from the same collection give the AWP | Printstream. The collection holds two Covert skins, so the odds are one in two.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The AWP | Printstream has a StatTrak version. No souvenir packages were released for this finish: those were made only for tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can still be built by hand, though. The Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from the inventory. That is why the odd souvenir copy turns up even where no packages ever existed.

Stickers and craft on the AWP | Printstream

Colored stickers read at once on the white, whereas light and gray ones are lost in the graphics. In Battle-Scarred the white along the edges is already gray. It is safer to place a sticker on the black inserts of the stock, where wear does not dull the color.

Who this wear suits

Buying the AWP | Printstream in this wear is worthwhile if:

• you want a Covert AWP for CS2 with black-and-white graphics and no surcharge for a clean body;


• you are ready to study the float, because a stretch this long holds both nearly clean bodies and heavily rubbed ones;


• a CS2 craft needs a base on which colored stickers stand out.

Anyone who values an even pearl sheen is better off with Minimal Wear, which costs one and a half times more.
