The Field-Tested AWP | Printstream (FT) is the practical pick on this rifle: the grades beneath it cost almost the same, while Factory New asks three times over. The rank is Covert, and the AWP | Printstream drops from the Fever Case.
What the AWP | Printstream looks like in Field-Tested
The scheme is black and white and pointedly strict: a white body, black inserts on receiver and stock, no spot of color. Fine technical artwork runs over the white, rows of symbols and digits like a printout, plus a large mark built from crosses on the side. Barrel and scope are silver.
The headline detail is the pearl coat. White surfaces give off a sheen, and turning the weapon sends a cold highlight running across them. Valve names it outright in the item description. Strip that sheen away and the whole series would read as ordinary black-and-white paintwork.
In Field-Tested the pearl is the first thing to dull on the AWP | Printstream. It goes matte on the receiver edges, at the scope mount and on the bipod. The white base grays in those same places, and the fine artwork along the borders loses its crispness. Black inserts look as they do in clean grades, since wear reads poorly on dark surfaces.
Where the AWP | Printstream came from
The Printstream series is the work of one person, a Steam Workshop artist going by JTPNZ. He put up the M4A1-S and the Desert Eagle first, back in 2020, and the USP-S after them. He filed the AWP submission only on June 9, 2024, four years behind the first two. In Valve's catalog of finishes it stands at number 1206.
The finish entered the game on March 31, 2025 together with the Fever Case. Valve's update note put it this way: the Armory gained a new case with seventeen community finishes and Shattered Web knives in chrome treatments. Hence the case's list of rare special items — Nomad Knife, Paracord Knife, Skeleton Knife and Survival Knife.
What to check before buying
- the float, which shows how much pearl sheen is left on the raised areas;
- the state of the white base at the scope mount, as it grays earlier than the rest;
- stickers and a name tag from the previous owner.
The artwork on the AWP | Printstream is the same on every copy, and nobody pays extra for a pattern here.
What the AWP | Printstream costs in Field-Tested
Factory New asks about three and a half times as much, Minimal Wear roughly two fifths more. Downward the ladder is nearly flat: Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred are cheaper by a few percent only, so there is no point going below Field-Tested to save.
Among Covert rifles in this grade the AWP | Printstream is sixth counting up out of nineteen: five cheaper, thirteen dearer. AWP | Wildfire and AWP | Neo-Noir sit right alongside, the difference within a tenth of the price. AWP | Hyper Beast is cheaper by roughly a fifth, AWP | Queen's Gambit dearer by roughly a tenth.
Getting the AWP | Printstream
The Fever Case is one route; a trade-up contract of ten Classified skins from the same collection is the other. The set holds two Covert skins, so the contract's result is random.
StatTrak and Souvenir
Stickers and craft on the AWP | Printstream
The AWP | Printstream has a StatTrak version. Souvenir copies of the finish turn up as well, though no Souvenir packages were ever made for it: packages only ever covered tournament map collections. Those copies are built with the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a normal skin from the inventory.
A black and white base accepts any color, and it is one of the handiest backgrounds for a craft in CS2: bright stickers read on it immediately. White and gray ones do the opposite and sink into the artwork. The stock and the handguard are free, while the side panel with the cross mark is usually left uncovered.
Who this wear suits
Buying the AWP | Printstream right here makes sense if:
- a strict black and white AWP for CS2 is wanted without paying three times over for Factory New;
- there is no reason to go lower, the grades beneath costing almost the same;
- a craft is planned, the sticker background here being about the best in the game.
The pearl in Field-Tested is muted already, and it is the defining trait of the series. If the sheen is what matters, look at Minimal Wear, dearer by only about two fifths.
