AWP | Redline (Minimal Wear)

The Minimal Wear (MW) AWP | Redline comes from a skin with only three wears, and this is the cleanest of them. The skin's scale is cut off at the bottom: the minimum here is 0.10, not 0.00, so Factory New does not exist at all. It is a Classified skin; the AWP drops from the Winter Offensive Weapon Case and suits both sides.

What the AWP | Redline looks like in Minimal Wear

The skin is almost entirely black: a carbon weave lies on the handguard, receiver, stock and grip, and the barrel, scope and bipod are dark too. There is little red in the design. A thin red stripe runs along the side of the receiver, and below, by the magazine well, there is a red insert. Valve describes it as a dry-transfer decal with a red stripe over carbon film.

The design rests on the contrast of black and red, and in Minimal Wear that contrast is still fresh. Wear shows on the protruding edges, where the carbon lightens. A copy's condition is set at the drop, and the float does not change afterward.

Where the AWP | Redline came from

Valve called the Winter Offensive Weapon Case the first case ever assembled from community work, and the Redline comes from it. The author is emkay, who posted the submission "AWP | Elegant-Red (Redline)" to the Steam Workshop on November 13, 2013. The Winter Offensive Collection was released on December 18, 2013, and the AWP | Redline has been in the set since the start. In Valve's catalog the finish carries number 259.

What to check before buying

On AWP | Redline listings, buyers compare the following:

• float: this wear is assigned the band 0.10 to 0.15, which is 17% of the skin's scale, and it is narrow, so copies are almost indistinguishable;


• stickers and a name tag left on the AWP | Redline by a previous owner;


• the red stripe on the receiver and the insert by the magazine: is the paint whole.

There is no point in searching by pattern index: the design does not change.

What the AWP | Redline costs in Minimal Wear

The skin has three wears, so there are only two to compare with:

• Field-Tested is cheaper by 1.64 times;


• Well-Worn is dearer by 1.15 times.

The order is unusual: Well-Worn comes out higher in price even though its wear is deeper. Its band is short, from 0.38 to 0.40.

Of the fourteen Classified AWPs priced in this wear, ten cost less and three cost more: AWP | BOOM, AWP | Graphite and AWP | Silk Tiger. The nearest one below, AWP | Crakow!, is cheaper by about a quarter, and AWP | Electric Hive by almost half. AWP | Corticera, AWP | Elite Build and AWP | The End cost a third as much or less. The cheapest in the rank are AWP | Duality and AWP | Mortis.

StatTrak and Souvenir

A StatTrak version of the AWP | Redline exists. No souvenir packages were ever released for this finish, because those were made only for tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can still be assembled by hand: the Souvenir-O-Matic applies golden tournament stickers and a player autograph to a regular skin from your inventory.

Stickers and craft on the AWP | Redline

Black carbon is an even background on which any color except black reads. The red stripe on the receiver is thin, so red stickers next to it get lost, while white and gold ones give contrast. The side of the receiver is free, with more room for a sticker than on the handguard.

Who this wear suits

Minimal Wear is worth choosing for the AWP | Redline if:

• you want a carbon AWP for CS2 with a clean design, and the skin has no Factory New;


• the red stripe should read in full on a dark body;


• you want the top wear of the three the skin has at all.
