This is the AWP | Wildfire in Battle-Scarred (BS), and the scuffs on the black body are obvious at a glance. The skin belongs to the anniversary CS20 Collection, has Covert rank, and comes from the CS20 Case. By price it is one of the most affordable Covert AWPs.
What the AWP | Wildfire looks like in Battle-Scarred
The base of the finish is black with red. The muzzle brake and scope tube are painted red, while the black receiver and the long barrel make up the rest of the body. Near the stock sits the Operation Wildfire logo in yellow-orange flames, which Valve says was applied by hand over a black-and-red base.
In Battle-Scarred the scuffs show light against the black, on the barrel edges and the scope mounts. The flame logo on the flat side stays the main spot of color. Floats in this wear run from 0.45 to 0.70, a stretch that holds both nearly clean bodies and visibly worn ones.
Where the AWP | Wildfire came from
VLEK drew the skin. The Workshop submission was titled “CS20 | AWP | WildFire” and dated September 18, 2019. The CS20 Collection was added to the game on October 18, 2019, and the skin arrived with the same update. In Valve's catalog its number is 917.
What to check before buying
A few points are worth checking:
- float: the scale of the skin stops at 0.70, so the upper edge of Battle-Scarred is 0.70, not 1.00;
- the barrel edges and the scope mount, where light scuffs show most;
- stickers and name tag, which go with the listing.
Hunting for a lucky pattern is pointless here, since the skin has only one.
What the AWP | Wildfire costs in Battle-Scarred
The other wears relative to this one:
- Factory New is about 3.5 times pricier;
- Minimal Wear costs almost double;
- Field-Tested costs about a seventh more;
- Well-Worn costs about a quarter more.
Well-Worn costs more than Field-Tested, so the order of prices on this skin does not follow the order of wear. Battle-Scarred takes 0.25 of the 0.70 scale, about 36 percent.
Among eighteen Covert AWPs in this wear, the skin is in the lower part of the list: four are cheaper and thirteen pricier. AWP | Neo-Noir, AWP | Printstream and AWP | Queen's Gambit are a little pricier, while AWP | LongDog and AWP | Hyper Beast are a little cheaper.
Getting the AWP | Wildfire
The skin drops from the CS20 Case. A trade-up for it takes ten skins one rank lower, all from one set. With two Covert skins in the collection, this one comes up one time in two.
The next step up from this rank is a knife craft: the CS20 Collection has just one rare special item, the Classic Knife.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The AWP | Wildfire has a StatTrak version. There were no Souvenir packages for it, but a Souvenir copy can be assembled on your own through the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the AWP | Wildfire
The black body takes stickers without a fight: white, gold and silver ones read at once. Red ones argue with the red muzzle brake and scope tube. Leave the side with the logo free, and use the black parts of the receiver for stickers.
Who this wear suits
Battle-Scarred is the right wear for the AWP | Wildfire when:
- you want a Covert AWP for CS2 at a lower price than any other wear of the skin;
- light scuffs on black do not bother you;
- you need a cheap base for a craft.
If you want fewer scuffs, Minimal Wear costs almost double and Field-Tested about a seventh more.
