AWP | Wildfire (Factory New)

In Factory New (FN), the AWP | Wildfire is a clean black-and-red AWP with the fiery Operation logo by the stock. It belongs to the anniversary CS20 Collection, ranks as Covert, and is sourced from the CS20 Case. The skin's scale begins at 0.01 rather than at zero.

What the AWP | Wildfire looks like in Factory New

The body relies on contrast: a black barrel and receiver, a red muzzle brake and scope tube, and a yellow-orange fire pattern by the stock. Valve describes it as the Operation Wildfire logo, drawn by hand over a black-and-red base.

In Factory New the black is deep, with no light edging, and the red parts keep their full color. The float band here is 0.01 to 0.07, and since the scale leaves this wear only that narrow stretch, copies look alike.

Where the AWP | Wildfire came from

The author is VLEK. The Steam Workshop submission, titled “CS20 | AWP | WildFire”, came out on September 18, 2019. The skin reached the game on October 18, 2019, and Valve's catalog numbers it 917.

What to check before buying

These points matter when buying:

• float: the bottom of the scale is 0.01, so no copy of this skin has a float of exactly zero;

• the barrel edges and the scope mount against the black, which are clean in Factory New;

• whether stickers or a name tag come with the listing.

Every copy carries the same pattern.

What the AWP | Wildfire costs in Factory New

The other wears relative to this one:

• Minimal Wear is cheaper by about 1.9 times;

• Well-Worn is cheaper by about 2.7 times;

• Field-Tested is cheaper threefold;

• Battle-Scarred is cheaper by about 3.5 times.

One step down from Factory New loses almost half the price, and after that the prices draw closer together. Well-Worn costs more than Field-Tested. Factory New takes 0.06 of the 0.69 scale, about nine percent.

Among nineteen Covert AWPs in this wear, the skin is low: four are cheaper and fourteen pricier. AWP | Printstream is about a quarter pricier, and AWP | Hyper Beast costs the same. AWP | Chromatic Aberration and AWP | Chrome Cannon cost half as much, and AWP | Neo-Noir two and a half times less.

Getting the AWP | Wildfire

The skin comes from the CS20 Case. A contract gets you there too: ten skins one rank lower from a single set.

StatTrak and Souvenir

There is a StatTrak version of the AWP | Wildfire. Souvenir packages for the skin were never released, but you can make a Souvenir copy yourself through the Souvenir-O-Matic.

Stickers and craft on the AWP | Wildfire

An intact black base gives a craft a clean background, and stickers with white and gold details look crisp on it. Red stickers compete with the muzzle brake and the scope. The fire pattern by the stock is better left uncovered.

Who this wear suits

Factory New on the AWP | Wildfire makes sense on these terms:

• you want a clean black body without light edging for CS2;

• you need a base without scuffs for a craft;

• a Covert AWP in this wear still sits in the lower part of the price row.

If light edges are acceptable, Minimal Wear costs almost half as much.
