In Minimal Wear (MW), the AWP | Wildfire is a black-and-red AWP with light wear, and the fire logo near the stock is still whole. It is a Covert rank skin of the CS20 Collection, sourced from the CS20 Case.
What the AWP | Wildfire looks like in Minimal Wear
On the long black barrel and the equally black receiver, the red parts stand out: the muzzle brake and the scope tube. Toward the stock runs a pattern of yellow-orange flames. Valve calls it the Operation Wildfire logo, done by hand on a black-and-red base.
In Minimal Wear the light signs of wear are limited to a thin fringe along the barrel's edge and the scope mount. The red fill and the flame artwork stay intact. Floats here run from 0.07 to 0.15, a tight band in which the extreme listings differ only by the number.
Where the AWP | Wildfire came from
The skin appeared on October 18, 2019, when the CS20 Collection was added to the game. VLEK made it, and the Steam Workshop submission was titled “CS20 | AWP | WildFire”. Its number in Valve's catalog is 917.
What to check before buying
Before buying, a few points deserve a look:
- float: the closer to 0.07, the cleaner the black edging, and toward 0.15 the light lines are easier to see;
- the scope mount and the barrel edge, where wear reads first;
- any stickers on the body and any name tag the owner added.
Every copy shows the same artwork, so no rare ones exist.
What the AWP | Wildfire costs in Minimal Wear
Neighboring wears relative to this one:
- Factory New is about 1.9 times pricier;
- Field-Tested is 1.6 times cheaper;
- Well-Worn is 1.5 times cheaper;
- Battle-Scarred is almost twice as cheap.
The price steps down evenly: each next wear is about one and a half times cheaper, except the lowest. Minimal Wear takes 0.08 of the scale's 0.69, about twelve percent.
Among twenty Covert AWPs in this wear, the skin sits below the middle: five are cheaper and fourteen pricier. AWP | Printstream is a little cheaper, and AWP | Hyper Beast and AWP | Neo-Noir are noticeably cheaper. AWP | Chromatic Aberration and AWP | Chrome Cannon cost almost half as much.
Getting the AWP | Wildfire
The skin comes out of the CS20 Case. Trading up is the second road: it takes ten skins one rank lower from the same set.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The AWP | Wildfire comes in a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages were ever released for it, but you can build a Souvenir copy yourself through the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the AWP | Wildfire
Light wear barely gets in the way of a craft: the pale fringe follows the edges, and the side stays clean. White and gold stickers lie clearly on the black. Red ones get lost beside the red scope and brake.
Who this wear suits
Minimal Wear on the AWP | Wildfire makes sense in three cases:
- you want an almost whole black body for CS2 without paying the Factory New price;
- a thin light fringe on the edges is acceptable;
- you want room to step down, since Field-Tested is 1.6 times cheaper.
