Charm | Dead Weight

The Charm | Dead Weight is a charm from the Missing Link Community Charm Collection. It ranks fifteenth of twenty-three in its set by price.

What the Charm | Dead Weight looks like

The charm resembles a black body bag turned into a small figure with short arms and legs. An olive zipper runs from top to bottom, and a tag with an orange label is attached to the chest.

At the top there is a red tag with writing on the loop. The palette is gloomy, gray-black, with bright accents only at the fastenings.

Where the Charm | Dead Weight came from

The Missing Link Community Charm Collection, which lists this charm, came out on October 2, 2024 with The Armory update, when charms first appeared in the game.

Valve does not reveal the item's story. All that is known about Dead Weight is its name and its set.

How the charm works

A charm can be attached to a weapon or to a C4 skin, but knives and gloves do not accept it. It comes off with the Charm Detachment tool and goes back into the inventory intact.

A weapon has one place for a charm, and Sticker Slab takes it entirely, so Dead Weight goes on instead of it. The figure is three-dimensional and follows physics: when you run or turn, the bag swings from side to side.

Pattern number

Every copy has its own pattern number, visible on inspect. It does not affect how Dead Weight looks and remains a collector's mark.

What the Charm | Dead Weight costs

In the Missing Link Community Charm Collection this charm ranks fifteenth of twenty-three. Charm | Lil' Prick costs three times as much and Charm | Pocket Pop almost twice as much. Charm | Lil' Buns is dearer by more than half again.

Below it come Charm | Hang Loose, Charm | Lil' Curse and Charm | Lil' Baller, each about a quarter cheaper.

Who it suits

Dead Weight is worth buying for CS2 in cases like these:

• you want a grim charm in a dark palette that does not compete with the weapon's finish;

• you want a middle position in the Missing Link Community Charm Collection;

• you like figures with black humor.
