Danger Zone Case

The Danger Zone Case is a base-grade case in CS2. Valve released it on December 7, 2018, together with the Danger Zone mode and the game's move to a free-to-play model. It holds seventeen skins from community authors, and its rare special item pool has four knife models.

What's in the Danger Zone Case

The seventeen skins are laid out as seven Mil-Spec, five Restricted, three Classified and two Covert. The Covert pair is AK-47 | Asiimov and AWP | Neo-Noir.

The Classified skins are UMP-45 | Momentum, Desert Eagle | Mecha Industries and MP5-SD | Phosphor. The Restricted ones are G3SG1 | Scavenger, Galil AR | Signal, MAC-10 | Pipe Down, P250 | Nevermore and USP-S | Flashback.

The Mil-Spec skins are MP9 | Modest Threat, Glock-18 | Oxide Blaze and Nova | Wood Fired. Also in this rank are M4A4 | Magnesium, Sawed-Off | Black Sand, SG 553 | Danger Close and Tec-9 | Fubar.

Which knives drop from the Danger Zone Case

The rare special item is a Navaja Knife, Stiletto Knife, Talon Knife or Ursus Knife. Twelve finishes exist for them: Slaughter, Stained, Boreal Forest, Night Stripe, Urban Masked, Blue Steel, Crimson Web, Case Hardened, Forest DDPAT, Scorched, Fade and Safari Mesh.

Each of the four models can drop with no finish as well. Nothing is selectable: the model, the finish and the wear all come from chance.

Do you need a key

Yes, the Danger Zone Case requires a key, and the key is bought inside the game. After October 2019 keys can't be transferred to another account, and they aren't on marketplaces, so on LIS-SKINS it is only the case that is sold.

Opening is optional: a ready-made skin or knife costs less than opening in the hope of landing the item you want.

What the Danger Zone Case costs

The Danger Zone Case sits in the lower half of the CS2 case range. The Gallery Case is 1.68 times cheaper, the CS20 Case 1.27 times, and the Dreams & Nightmares Case 1.14 times. Of the pricier ones, the Prisma 2 Case costs 1.04 times more, the Prisma Case 1.07 times, and the Falchion Case 1.46 times.

Next to the top of the range there is no comparison. The eSports 2013 Case costs about 46 times as much as the Danger Zone Case, and the CS:GO Weapon Case about 113 times.

The Danger Zone Case is worth buying when:
