Desert Eagle | Heat Treated (Battle-Scarred)

Battle-Scarred (BS) is the bottom of the scale for the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated, where temper colors run together with scuffs. The skin is Classified, comes from the Limited Edition Item collection and is in no case. Both sides can use the pistol in CS2.

What the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated looks like in Battle-Scarred

The base is the same in every wear: slide and frame are flooded with the streaks of hardened steel. Blue, violet, copper-brown and pale cream patches cover the metal as one continuous field, and the stripe along the top of the slide is brown. The grip is bare dark gray, and there are no drawn figures.

In this wear the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated spans 0.45 to 1.00, a stretch that holds both nearly clean bodies and markedly worn ones. The gold has worn off the muzzle ring, the sight rails and the ridges of the slide. On the flat side of the slide the blue field stays readable longest.

Where the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated came from

Valve made the skin: there is no Steam Workshop submission for the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated, and the company itself is listed as designer. The skin came out in the Limited Edition Item collection on October 2, 2024, and its catalog number is 1054.

Valve's note for that update lists the Deagle among the Armory items. A note of January 15, 2025 says it can no longer be taken out of the Armory.

What to check before buying

Check these in a Desert Eagle | Heat Treated listing:

• float: the 0.45 to 1.00 band covers 55% of the scale, and near 0.45 the body is clearly cleaner than near 1.00;

• pattern: copies carry different amounts of blue and gold, so the decision is made by eye;

• the name tag and stickers the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated already carries.

What the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated costs in Battle-Scarred

The other wears against Battle-Scarred:

• Factory New costs thirty-six times more;

• Minimal Wear costs almost three times more;

• Field-Tested costs about a seventh more;

• Well-Worn costs a few percent more.

The three lowest wears are priced almost alike. The gap to the top is so wide that Battle-Scarred ends up the least expensive way in.

The skin is the cheapest of the six Classified Desert Eagles that have a price in this wear. Desert Eagle | Mecha Industries costs more than five times as much, Desert Eagle | Eastern Enigma thirteen times, Desert Eagle | Kumicho Dragon sixteen and a half. Desert Eagle | Fennec Fox costs two orders of magnitude more.

Getting the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated

The Desert Eagle | Heat Treated does not drop from cases: Valve issued it only through the Armory, as a limited item.

StatTrak and Souvenir

There is no StatTrak version of the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated, and no souvenir packages were made for it either.

Stickers and craft on the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated

With so many scuffs at Battle-Scarred, a sticker hardly spoils the picture. Plain black and white stickers stay distinct on the colored base, while gold and holographic ones merge with the shine. For a craft, the frame under the slide and the side of the grip fit.

Who this wear suits

The Desert Eagle | Heat Treated is worth buying in this wear if:

• you want a skin with temper colors at the lowest price, and scuffs do not matter;

• the Deagle is for a craft in CS2, where the background matters more than gold on the edges;

• Factory New costs thirty-six times more, and paying that much extra for cleanliness is not on the agenda.
