Description

In Minimal Wear (MW) the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated keeps its tempering colors almost intact, and it is the cheapest way into the Classified Deagles. The skin is Classified, has no case, and the pistol is available to both sides in CS2.

What the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated looks like in Minimal Wear

The metal shows the colors of tempered steel across the slide and the frame: steel-tinged blue, violet, copper brown and pale cream. A brown stripe runs along the top of the slide, and the brightest blue areas sit at the middle of the slide and the front of the frame. There is no figure in the artwork, and the grip panels and trigger stay bare.

This wear gives the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated a float band of 0.07 to 0.15. The brassy gold shine on the muzzle ring, sight rails and slide ridges is the first thing to be touched: small scrapes appear on the sharpest edges. The blue field on the side of the slide stays whole.

Where the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated came from

Valve is the author, and the skin was never submitted to the Steam Workshop. Its catalog number is 1054.

The Desert Eagle | Heat Treated arrived with the Limited Edition Item collection on October 2, 2024. Valve's note on the opening of the Armory lists it on a line of its own beside the Gallery case. A note from January 15, 2025 states that it can no longer be picked up from the Armory.

What to check before buying

These points decide which Desert Eagle | Heat Treated listing to take:

  • pattern: every copy carries its own mix of blue and gold on the slide, so listings differ more by picture than by number;

  • float: near 0.07 the gold on the edges is better preserved, near 0.15 there are more scrapes;

  • stickers from the previous owner and a name tag on the copy of the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated.

In this wear the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated has a short stretch, 0.07 to 0.15, so there is no reason to chase the number. The wear takes up 8% of the scale from 0.00 to 1.00.

What the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated costs in Minimal Wear

How the other wears compare:

  • Factory New costs about thirteen times more;

  • Field-Tested and Well-Worn are about two and a half times cheaper;

  • Battle-Scarred is almost three times cheaper.

Minimal Wear costs two and a half to three times more than each of the three lower wears, while Factory New sits an order of magnitude above it.

Of the nine Classified Desert Eagles priced in this wear, this skin is the cheapest. Desert Eagle | Mecha Industries costs three times more, Desert Eagle | Conspiracy seven times. Desert Eagle | Kumicho Dragon and Desert Eagle | Eastern Enigma cost ten and twelve times as much.

Getting the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated

This Deagle is not listed among the CS2 cases. Valve handed it out in the Armory as a limited item, so the skin has neither a case nor a map collection.

StatTrak and Souvenir

There was no StatTrak version of the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated, and no souvenir packages either.

Stickers and craft on the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated

The temper colors shimmer as the weapon turns, and colored stickers get lost in them. Plain black and white stickers hold up better on the blue field, while gold ones blend into the brass edges. For a craft, place it on the frame under the slide and leave the blue side open.

Who this wear suits

The Desert Eagle | Heat Treated in Minimal Wear makes sense in three cases:

  • you want a colorful Deagle without visible scuffs, but Factory New is beyond the budget;

  • the pattern matters more than the float number, and listings in the narrow 0.07 to 0.15 band get compared by look;

  • the skin is for a craft in CS2 that needs an even field of color.
