Desert Eagle | Hypnotic (Factory New)

The Desert Eagle | Hypnotic in Factory New (FN) carries black wavy stripes over a pearl-silver base, and on clean metal they read at their sharpest. The float scale of this wear lies between 0.00 and 0.07. It is a Classified skin that drops from the CS:GO Weapon Case and belongs to The Arms Deal Collection.

What the Desert Eagle | Hypnotic looks like in Factory New

The base of the finish is light pearl metal. Over it, a pattern of curved stripes, like zebra hide, is stenciled in black paint. It runs across the slide, the barrel and the grip panel.

In Factory New the light metal between the stripes is clean, the stripe edges are sharp, and there are no signs of carry at all. Wear is recorded at drop, so a copy with such a float keeps this look.

Where the Desert Eagle | Hypnotic came from

The Desert Eagle | Hypnotic appeared on August 14, 2013, when The Arms Deal Collection was added to the game. It has a single case, the CS:GO Weapon Case.

What to check before buying

Before taking a Desert Eagle | Hypnotic, look at these points:

• float: for this wear the band is 0.00 to 0.07;

• stickers and name tag already on this Desert Eagle | Hypnotic;

• the light base at the muzzle and on the trigger guard, where the first marks show against clean metal.

In this wear the Desert Eagle | Hypnotic is a narrow band, 0.00 to 0.07, and copies barely differ from one another.

What the Desert Eagle | Hypnotic costs in Factory New

The finish has only two wears, and the ratio is unusual: Minimal Wear costs about a fifth more than Factory New. The Minimal Wear band of this skin is 0.07 to 0.08, one hundredth of the whole scale, while Factory New takes 0.07 out of 0.08.

Of the nine Classified Desert Eagles in this wear, the finish is third by price: only Desert Eagle | Fennec Fox and Starcade cost more, and Starcade sits right alongside. The closest one below, Desert Eagle | Cobalt Disruption, is noticeably cheaper. The bottom of the row is held by Desert Eagle | Conspiracy and Desert Eagle | Mecha Industries.

Getting the Desert Eagle | Hypnotic

The pistol drops from the CS:GO Weapon Case, and no other case holds this finish.

A trade-up works too: you need ten skins of the rank below from the set. The Arms Deal Collection has two Classified skins, so the chance is one in two.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The Desert Eagle | Hypnotic has a StatTrak version. Souvenir packages for this finish were never released, since they existed only for tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can still be put together by hand: the Souvenir-O-Matic adds gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to a regular inventory skin. That is how single souvenir copies turn up even for finishes that never had packages.

Stickers and craft on the Desert Eagle | Hypnotic

The black-and-silver artwork is already high in contrast, so stickers with clean outlines read better on it than blurry ones. Colored stickers act as an accent on such a background: red and gold ones catch the eye at once. Black stickers get lost on the dark stripes.

Who this wear suits

The Desert Eagle | Hypnotic in Factory New is worth it for these reasons:

• you want a Classified Desert Eagle with a clean light base and sharp artwork;

• you are putting together a CS2 set built on silver and black;

• you want Factory New as the lowest float band and do not want to pay more for Minimal Wear.

If metal with a light patina is acceptable, the finish has only Minimal Wear, and it costs more.
